Always great food at Mel's. I got the veggie pizza and the toppings were fresh and it was a 'high end' style pizza you wouldn't expect to get at a diner.The atmosphere is pretty much what you'd expect from a diner. The place has got character and probably hasn't changed much in 50 years.With tip we spent $70 for 3 adults and 2 kids.We love Mel's ❤️

As a family of 5 from the UK touring Florida on a roadtrip we had to feed the kids en route between Miami and Tampa. We did a little search for a diner and my wife stumbled upon this little gem. The kids were very well catered for and my wife and I had big 'USA sized' salads... nothing was too much for the people serving us and we left with plenty in boxes too. The restaurant was set up as lots of booths which I personally love as it stops the 5 year old escaping! ?Recommended!Parking: Plenty of parking out frontKid-friendliness: Great for kids!

EXCELLENT!!! Had the best waitress. Attentive, friendly. Food was so good. Burger cooked perfectly. Malt was good. (I think they forgot to add the malt, so shake was good.) Menu had so many great choices it was hard to choose.

This was excellent!!! Excellently prepared meals in every detail in huge quantities for a very low price ???. The service was funny, very helpful (they kept asking us if we were missing something, etc...). A typical American restaurant: the decoration is amazing (there were records of performers from the fifties, or some products from that time) and also the overall shape of the building?❤️.Everyone should definitely stop here and enjoy the true American atmosphere???✨
