I used suite night points for an upgrade. Easy friendly check in be prepared for a half hour ride from airport however if you're using Uber or Lyft. Ended up in a high floor corner suite in the Captiva building just ended up working out well for the view and quietness in the evening. This building also has its own swimming pool which is more private than the main building. It has a view of the causeway to Sanibel and the harbor area. Be prepared in the morning if you think you're going to go out to the island the traffic starts at 5:00 a.m. and doesn't stop until about noon with construction traffic headed out and then in the evening about 4:00 it starts coming back and goes till 7:00. The spa is not reopened yet there's still some work to do to finish cleanup from the storms on the property. The golf cart drivers get high marks for their quick and friendly service anytime they will take you from the main Hotel to the Captiva building and back. Was there for a conference and had several conference meals which were just fine. Fun bar scene. I'll end with the team here is doing all they can to keep everybody happy and comfortable while they work hard to bring everything back to 100%.

I return to this resort over the last 15 years for business. It continues to decline. The Elevators don’t work and the house keeping is beyond poor. Despite offering a generous tip and asking for extra towels and wash clothes, the staff doesn’t comply. Also the floors are dirty after house keeping comes to clean. I have had to call each day to request items missing in the rooms including, shower items empty, more towels and dirty floors. The concierge lady has ZERO clue on helping you. She she is retired and should stay retired. This has ZERO to do with the Hurricane that came through last year. If you can’t run a hotel properly, you should close your doors. This is an embarrassment for the Marriott collection. I will reconsider coming here again.

There is a terrible stench coming from the drains in the restrooms on the second floor that staff do not seem to know how to resolve. The front desk referred us to the banquet manager who indicated Engineering was notified. Two days later, no resolution. For health reasons, it is important for Marriott to identify the origin of the stench and to notify guests and staff of possible exposure to toxins.

We just attended a wedding at the resort - and the staff was incredible! Every interaction went above and beyond. I wish I could recall everyone’s names - but we spent a lot of time at the pool and pool bar, and Asta was incredible! So friendly!!! Am incredible resort but the staff really made the experience that much better!

Nice stay at the Sanibel tower where the restaurants are located. Captiva tower is down the property where you can drive and park there. 24 hr shuttle is present to rake you back and forth with no charge. Nice comfy room and two large pool areas with their homemade beach that over looks the bay/river. All the pool lounge chairs and umbrellas are brand new. Everything got destroyed by Hurricane Ian a year ago today on 9/28/22. Flood waters rose up and over the pool and into the first floor. Plenty of water damage but it was all redone, repainted, replaced, and new cosmetic work done. Dinner at Charlies sports Cabana bar was nice and inexpensive and good place to watch a game and eat at the bar. Breakfast was at the Tarpon room which was good and buffets on weekends only. We will be back!!! ?️?️?️?️?️?️

We only spent a couple of nights here but the location was amazing and our room had incredible views. The pool was lovely and so was the food at the restaurant. All the staff couldn't be more helpful and were very friendly. Would definitely recommend it and would stay again. The complimentary laundry room was a bonus as we had been travelling about.

We have stayed here at Sanibel Marriott many times over the years, and the place holds a lot of wonderful memories for our family. We were there in July ‘22, and the area suffered immense damage due to Hurricane Ian in September ‘22. We went again most recently over July 4th weekend. It is still being worked on in areas, so please bear that in mind and show some understanding that the owners and staff are putting their all into ensuring us guests have a memorable stay. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and it was so nice to see a lot of familiar faces. I would highly recommend for a couples weekend or family holiday!

Great resort and the service, cleanliness, food and the beverage couldn't be better. Although the resort doesn't have beach, they still have a pool with sand surroundings that makes you feel like you are on the beach right by the inter-coastal.

Recently returned from a great stay at Marriott Sanibel Harbour. This hotel suffered significant damage from Hurricane Ian but is just about up and running. Spent a lot of time by the pools, always plenty of chairs available, even on a Saturday. It was a great place to relax and rewind for a few days. This hotel has some really great staff - the bar service at the pool was among the most efficient I’ve ever experienced, special thanks to the female server, I believe her name was Jess but cannot remember for sure. The woman at the gift shop was very helpful, and the valet guys, especially the guy from RI, were a hoot as well! Didn’t make it to the steakhouse, but the other two restaurants were great. Nearby Bimini Bait Shack was also a great spot. Enjoyed very easy access to Sanibel and Captiva - the chairs provided by the hotel are in need of replacement, but they were complimentary. PS - Stay in Sanibel tower for sure!

Spent two nights at the Marriott Sanibel. Pool area was amazing! One of the nicest and most peaceful pools we have been to in a long time. It was nice to see that they were able to restore the hotel and pool area after the hurricane. There are still some areas that need some work but nothing that would effect your trip. We stayed in a one bedroom, corner unit, sanibel building. The lobby was beautiful. Room was large, there was a refrigerator but no microwave. Sofa bed was hard and the some of the furniture was showing its age. The view from the balcony was stunning! AC did not cool the living room area enough and it was much warmer than the bedroom area. Bathroom was large and shower was nice. There was a coffee shop in the lobby, coffee was good but pastries were pricey. We did not eat in the restaurant so not sure how that was but the food and drinks we ordered from the pool bar were delicious. Hotel is located right next to the causeway to sanibel. Beaches are starting to open but there is a lot of work still going on to rebuild from Ian. Worth a visit and looking forward to returning.

My husband surprised me with a birthday getaway at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort and it was just perfect. Given the damage hurricane Ian caused the region, the Marriott has done a wonderful job bouncing back. While there was still some work being done on site, the lobby, pool area, restaurants and rooms were beautiful. We had a top floor room overlooking the water - what a wonderful sight to wake up to. We ate at all three restaurants and thought the food was particularly good. We especially liked Courtside Steak House (the key lime tart was the best we ever had) and the pool side service (salads and quesadilla were great). The pool was very relaxing and we loved the fact that we didn't need to fight to find a seat regardless of the time of day. But what really made the stay was the staff. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The valet were excellent along with the restaurant, pool and front desk staff. We had an issue one afternoon with the bathroom and maintenance came right up and took care of it. We have all ready decided we will be returning next year to celebrate his birthday! There are somethings that are still closed (dinner cruise and spa) but we did not feel like it negatively impacted our stay. They have done a really nice job with landscaping around the resort but there are still remnants of the damage. Again, we didn't see this as a negative but as a reminder of how far the region has come.

Hotel is still has some areas under repair from Hurricane Ian but most customer used areas are up and open. Bathrooms and carpeting in the room seemed to be recently renovated. Spa and dinner boat were not yet available but kayaking is running. Jet skiing is available offsite. Pool was wonderful and the staff was very gracious and plentiful to meet your needs. Food was excellent and servings sizes were generous. Free morning yoga was the perfect way to start the day. The greater Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island area still has a way to go to get back to its former glory but this hotel is ahead of the game compared to what i saw driving around,

Our 4th visit. Remarkable recovery from the hurricane. Great room & view, top notch service, fun!! My happy wife is poolside all day! Nehad's team could not be more personable & wonderful to get to know. Joy & Gail who do everything, Carmen in the gift shop, Chris at the front desk, and of course Costin at the Tarpon. We'll see you all again!

I stayed with my mother for a long weekend. Hotel was nice, staff was (mostly) kind and helpful, and the pool was huge! They have done a great job repairing the hotel since the hurricane, but there is still work being completed. It did not disrupt our stay at all. We thought the food was just okay, but that’s all relative. Restaurant all close at 10 so not as much to do at night, but I’m okay with that (my mom wasn’t lol). Only complaint is location. You definitely need a car if you want to go just about anywhere. We didn’t rent a car but the hotel had just about everything we needed, so we were ok. Also, only 2 elevators were working but again, they are working on hurricane repairs still. We did have to wait quite a bit but not a big deal. Kadir, our server by the pool, was absolutely amazing! So helpful and kind, even though it was SO busy. Overall, I would stay again, but I’d be sure to have a car.
