All of the other Marinas in Downtown Fort Myers appear to still be closed and under repair from hurricane damage. The Edison Ford Marina itself is in excellent shape. The building adjacent to it is still under construction as the first floor was flooded.
Arranging the slip the day before, the Dockmaster said “send me a text when you have an ETA.” The next day, I texted her our ETA and she sent back our slip assignment with a chart of the marina highlighted to show the location of our slip. We have visited 120 marinas and this was the first time we received texted instructions and a chart. By far, the most efficient arrival instructions.
The fixed docks are high with excellent cleats on the pilings. The electricity was excellent. The docks themselves are wide and sturdy. A breakwater around the marina reduces the wave action.
The restroom facilities are very nice with two lockable bathrooms and excellent showers. There’s a very nice boater’s lounge with a refrigerator full of bottles water and a Keurig coffee maker. Comfortable looking chairs face the large TV.
The laundry room has two coin operated washers and dryers, and the Dockmaster said that she has plenty of quarters.
The marina is in downtown Fort Myers. There’s a Pincher’s Seafood Restaurant (excellent) overlooking the marina and a Publix grocery store two blocks away. Adjacent to the marina is the Edison Ford Museum with artifacts from Thomas Edison and Henry Ford who both spent time in Fort Myers.
The Southwest Florida International Airport is eleven miles away and Uber worked well.
With only sixty or so slips, the number available for transients is small and there’s no fuel nor pumpout. There happened to be three other Looper boats in there the night we stayed.
A little pricey at $4 a foot, but worth it.

One of the best marinas we’ve been too! Carly (GM) runs the place with care and efficiency! You can get a hold of her or one of her staff any time of day. The entire experience is personalized to you. If you need any work done on your boat….she has all the contacts! Thank you all for such a great stay!

Great marina! Carley, the dock master was very helpful in preparing for our arrival. Dominic helped us dock and provided us with marina info. Pinchers is a wonderful restaurant located on the property. The marina has laundry facilities and air conditioned bathrooms/showers. Very clean and well kept. Walking distance to the Edison Ford Winter Estates which we also enjoyed. Overall, we had a super experience staying at this marina!

The dock master and staff were so accommodating!

We loved staying at the Marina Edison Ford . Facilities and new and very clean, even have a nice lounge to watch TV and get some water. Staff is incredible, dockmaster Edgar will take good care of you and very accommodating. Dicks are new since much of it was destroyed from storm. Close walk to Publix and downtown is 10 min away, with great restaurants, not to mention Edison Ford museum right there too. Highly recommend.

We got in late. Carly is the bomb! She gave me Intel, want pushy on contracts and helped me the whole time. Highly recommend

The staff was incredible and the marina docks were new. The channel getting in is very shallow and we had to wait till high tide to get in and out so that was a pain. The restaurant on site was pretty darn good. Would stay there again.

Carly is one amazing dock master. She goes above and beyond. Great dockage in Ft Myers. Short walk to groceries and restaurants. Nice private showers.
We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at this marina! Carly does an amazing job leading the team and making sure each guest feels welcomed and at-home. Edgar (new to the crew) was so kind and helpful.
Marina has a restaurant and is within walking distance to Publix and downtown shopping.

The home cut fries were served cold and full of grease. Apology was made by manager and offered steak fries instead. Excuse made the home fries were cooked too brown. Yuk with limp greasy fries. The bang bang shrimp were not great either and the baked beans were thick, sweet and gross. We have eaten there countless times but today the cook needed to be fired. Big bucks paid for a very poor ill prepared lunch.

Anna made the best cosmopolitan that I’ve had. Great personality, very happy and fun to talk to. Will be back again
