The gorditas are so delicious. Yall can keep going peppers or Pedro’s but it will never be as good and authentic as this place.

Quaint and authentic. The service was welcoming and conversational and the food was phenomenal (quesadillas, gorditos, and menudo). My granddaughter was introduced to menudo which exhibited the most tastebud tantalizing broth I’ve sipped since Texas a decade ago. She said, “this is the best Mexican restaurant ever.”

Today was my first visit here to grab some food after a morning at the zoo. I got the Barbacoa Burrito with beans, and Oreo Tres Leches cake. The food is one of the best in the area if you want authenticity. The workers were great and very informative for the white guy who doesn't know much about Mexican food. Thanks a million...I will be back with mi familia!

You can see and taste the love this family puts into this restaurant. I don't go to Ft Walton often, but when I do I'm coming back.

I had an incredible experience here. Maria was so kind and informative. I ordered a barbacoa taco and a beef Gordita. Both were delicious. The barbacoa transported me somewhere… I got another to go. The Gordita, it comes with potato. Perhaps if you aren’t used to this it takes a few bites to adjust, but I say take this as the unique and lovely food it is! I have already invited some friends to come with me again. Do give it a try! It tastes real, it tastes like home and love.

My husband and I were on vacation visiting from Texas and the food there was AMAZING! The service was even better. We ordered the menudo and Picadillo tacos and gorditas which were so delicious. She shared with us that it is a family operated restaurant and her elderly 80+ year old grandfather is still there helping operate the restaurant. Thank you for sharing not only your wonder food with us but your stories. Also, Texas welcomes you whenever you come here in hopes of expanding your business.

Best menudo in Florida!
Thought this would be excellent but was terribly disappointed. The food looked good but was kinda mediocre in flavor. The only exception was the salsa. It was great in flavor and very spicy. It sort of fixed the blandness of the beef and potato gorditas I ordered. Very basic in looks and atmosphere. There are no prices posted and we’re shocked by the bill. $12.50 for menudo. Gorditas were $4.50 each. The shock was they charged $5
for a bottle of water. Waitress was the owners granddaughter and super nice.
