Another Broken Egg Cafe

My husband and I enjoyed a nice lunch and breakfast Sunday. The service from the entire staff was excellent, including the host who sat us, the person who ran our food out, the person who took our plates, and especially our server Carinn.

Went there waited over and hour for my food which never came
Got coffeee after much of asking and cold
I ordered a simple breakfast eggs and blueberry pancakes but that took forever
Eventually my hunger died out and I left but before that I asked to pay for my coffee after a long wait on food lol I paid almost $5 for the coffee and you would think that the coffee would atleast not be charged!!!
I did not mind paying so $10 was paid with the rest of change to the server who was not very accommodating she said the manager asked me to pay for the coffee
This was my second visit but maybe they don’t like the way I looked being a foreigner atleast that’s what I felt
I THINK THE REASON THEY APPOINTED MANAGEMENT IS THAT THE MANAGER SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIX A PROBLEM ESPECIALLY IF THE ESTABLISHMENT IS AT FAULT!!!!!

First timer. I asked the waitress Skylar what was good to eat and she recommended the shrimp and grits. The flavor profile was on point. The service was the best in town. My coffee was never empty and that's very important to me lol Great service and food. Will definitely be back.

I saw the positive reviews so decided to visit despite locals telling me not to. Once me and my friend got there, no one greeted us until maybe 5 minutes later. We got seated and got our menu. Our waitress seemed busy with other tables and we wouldn't see her for a long time. Once we were able to order, we didn't see her until after our food arrived. We never got our coffee, but since she was busy and we couldn't get her or another waitress attention, we just ate and drank our water. She realized at the end when getting our check but instead of apologizing she still charged us and gave it to us in a to go cup. It would have been nice if she just apologized and asked if we even wanted it or to take it off the check. The food tasted okay, average. Would not come back. It seemed more for families as it appeared service was faster with them vs friend groups.

Our experience was excellent!!!! Was looking for a new breakfast spot and this was amazing!!! A true gem!! From the food, staff, and ambiance. All perfect! Will definitely be coming back with the kids!!! Lala was amazing!!!

What an unforgettable impression!
Another Broken Egg , I rolled into this spot and wow, what a treat! I had an incredible experience that hit every note. The smoked salmon Benedict was Out of this world—perfectly smoked and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The Maker Mark pumpkin pie drink bliss, Totally unique and bursting with flavor.
The atmosphere was electric, with that perfect mix of rustic charm and music cool. The ambience was fabulous, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the top-tier service from Sonia. She was attentive, sharp, and gave us spot-on recommendations that made our meal even better.
If you're in Gainesville , this riverside gem is an absolute must!

Went and had brunch. Ordered the bourbon pancakes with no pecans with first waitress. Food comes out with pecans with a different waitress, she apologies says she will get it fixed.pancakes come out a second time with the second waitress, the top pancake is perfect. The botton 2 pancakes were so hard i couldn’t cut through them with a knife. The first waitress comes back out i tell her and show her, she apologies offers to go have them make more i say no thanks at this point as the rest of my party is already done eating. She brings the bill we pay and as we are getting up to leave a third waitress comes over with the pancakes again. We tell her sorry we already paid and no thank you on the pancakes and explain that is the 3rd set and no longer feel comfortable eating them. She apologies, i do not blame the waitresses for the food. I blame the cook who knowingly put concrete pucks on a plate and threw a fresh one on top. Will not be going back unfortunately.

What a great experience! The food was fantastic and service was great. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was cooked to perfection and came out quick. The manager stopped by and was friendly and professional. Overall wonderful place. Will definitely be back!

My friend and I were there a few weeks back on a Friday morning. We walked in. It was still empty since it was early, McKenzy Noticed us and sat us down. She took great care of us. She even accommodated my order which apparently their system couldn’t handle which was five eggs and some bacon. She had to put the order in piecemeal because the system wouldn’t accept five eggs as an order.

We were a big group of us arrived at 11 for a table and were promptly seated once the whole gang was there. A n hour and 10 mins passed our order and no food was in sight. I stepped up to walk to the area my server was and requested her to check with the kitchen as we have been waiting for 70 mins. She was totally surprised and had never followed up with the kitchen for our food. All this while, we had not had any silverware or drinks either on our table. After few minutes, a gentleman approaches our table with an excuse that we are next in line for food and offered us coffee. The coffee he served was extremely burnt and when I asked him to take it back, he was rude and never apologized. He just took it away without offering replacement. 30 mins later when another person got coffee, it was fine. Service took another 30 mins to bring our food out with few missing plates. Almost all of us had some things missing from our order. The outdoor seating by this time had so many bugs that we were just ready to leave. The food was mediocre and all our runny eggs were cooked when we received it. Was a total waste of our 3 hours, our money and patience. You lost a dozen customers today. Meanwhile, all other tables were getting food, drinks and services. Not one apology from any staff member, the burnt coffee was the cherry on top of awful service. Details-

BLT: burnt bread and dry sandwich
Salad: none of the veggies mentioned were present so was literally just greens and onion and my friend had to pay 15 bucks for it. Staff was reminded 4 times to bring the remaining veggies of the salad but they never came.
Hash special: tasted like coconut as if hash was cooked on top of a pancake or French toast griddle. Eggs hard and overdone
Huevos Ranchero: only chips and overdone eggs - barely any beans or onion as per description. Requested again, never got a replacement or side beans
Apple Fritter special pancake : eggs overdone, dry pancake
Shrimp Benedict: didn’t receive till we were all done with food and ready to leave. Shrimp were gritty.
Shrimp and Grits: sausage added by mistake, had to ask replacement.
Cold brew: great
House coffee: great
Coffee they offer as compensation for their bad service: unapologetically burnt and you still pay for it as they will not even take it off your bill

Back patio was very noisy with the street so close it's impossible to avoid.
Service was poor, and we had to ask for condiments and creamer several times. Pancakes were hard and flavorless.
