Excellent atmosphere and service, but the food was inconsistent and not nearly as good as I was expecting. Both the soup and the teriyaki chicken were surprisingly bland and flavorless. The chicken was neither sweet nor salty, just... plain. The pork dumplings, on the other hand, were excellent. With so many great sushi restaurants in Gainesville (2 within 100 yards of this place!), I don't think I'll be back.

The food was amazing! The Sake flight was worth it to try their different ones. Each roll of sushi had amazing flavor! The steamed vegetable gyoza was excellent. Ambiance was very relaxed, a great place to visit with friends or have a more romantic night out. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful.

Our server was funny and knowledgeable, the food and drinks were awesome, and the atmosphere was so cool with the lighting. It tasted like they used real shiitake mushrooms in the hibachi, which was a welcome taste in a place where good Japanese-esque food is hard to find!

First impression was the terrible atmosphere. It is cramped and lights are way too bright. The two top tables in the middle of the room shouldn't even be there. We were told 20 minutes for the wait but it took 40 minutes. I ordered a sashimi platter and the fish pieces were frozen together which tells me they were not prepared fresh.

Grabbed the pirate boat and it was really good. Very clean, good food and friendly staff. Nice and chill place that is a bit upscale but not stuffy. Fish was fresh and very well done. Miso soup is really good as well.
