“My experience at Pampy’s was quite pleasant. Not only do they have great coffee, but their pastries are simply divine. We visited while our daughter was in college. We were looking for a “mom and pop” smaller, quieter place for breakfast. We found it here. The owner was extremely nice and friendly too. And after chatting about how she made Gainesville her home, we left with a box of “pastelitos” and other fine Cuban desserts to share with our daughter. Great hidden gem in Gainesville! I highly recommend it!“

“Please come visit Las Americas Bakery! I absolutely love this place! If you’re looking for authentic Colombian/Venezuelan cuisine this is the place for you! There is a wide variety of different types of food to choose from! (I.e: soups, empanadas—better than Mi Apá!—chorizo (sausage), arepas, sandwiches, and MORE!) there are also bakery items, like Flan, Arroz Con Leche (rice pudding), and so much more. I recommend the Beef Empanadas, Chorizo & Cheese empanadas, and try their Arepas! If you want something sweet they sell “Chocolatina Jets” which are fun-sized chocolate bars or the Cocosette! This is a great place and I’ve always had a great experience here with food and service“

Right after hanging up, someone from Vine called back, I explained we’d probably wouldn’t make it in time but thanks. “Really good price for the portion size. Atmosphere is nice and relaxed with relatively large seating areas. Service was fast and everyone was kind. There's a happy hour as well, buy 2 get 1 free for drinks and corn dogs from 3-6 which is a great deal for college students. As a vegetarian as well I felt I had a variety of choices. Both food and drinks were very tasty.“
