They typically have my phone in orders ready in less than 15 minutes. The staff are friendly and efficient. Special requests for dietary preferences are no problem. I have been going to this restaurant for quite a few years as it is conveniently nearby. In the past. It was okay. However, the new owners have really strived to improve things. They are friendly and polite and the food tastes fresh and I have no complaints about it at all. This place has become my go-to Chinese takeout spot. The Mongolian beef, general toasted chicken and beef lo mein are all excellent dishes. Love the food here.

Staff are extremely personable -- most recently, I received a compliment regarding my hair and was given a bunch of delicious lemon candies. On top of all of that, food is top-tier. Their crabmeat rangoons are A1, and trust me, I've tried numerous all over Gainesville and in Jacksonville. Portions are extremely generous, down to even the fortune cookies (you'll be snacking on those for DAYS). My go-to for a reasonably-priced, filling, and wholesome Chinese-American meal to be shared with lifelong friends and family. Gracias, China 88, for the phenomenal experiences.

I just recently moved to Gainesville and I was absolutely blown away by China 88 the first time I tried it. Not once in my life have I connected this much with the owners of a restaurant -they are literally the sweetest and super down to Earth. I can tell they take great pride in the food they make and pour their whole hearts into every single dish. The food is an absolute testament to this!! For this reason I keep coming back. I've tried a great variety of the menu but here are some of my favorite dishes: The bourbon chicken is a MUST TRY, AMAZING Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken that tastes like REAL ORANGES and not some mass produced sauce, Wonton Soup, Low mein... You name it they've got it all and do not cut any corners. You should def check out their lunch special. I cannot believe that all of this food comes at such a reasonable price. I love China 88. Let's vote to make it the best Chinese restaurant in Gainesville!!!! I am trying the hot and spicy chicken tonight!!! Surely it's gonna be fantastic.

Had a problem with uber eats, and China 88 was great at resolving the problem when I called them directly. They also let me know that if you're ever getting delivery, try calling them directly first and save on the extra fees & hassle! The food was good too =). We got the orange chicken, chicken lo mein, & chicken & broccoli. Would recommend.

I have never had a single bad experiences here and I’ve been coming here for over 7 years.The food is delicious, the people are kind and they’re always fast.I get something different almost every time and each meal has been fantastic.I actually stopped in on Valentine’s Day and I was greeted with a red rose and a dainty gift bag with chocolates. IT WAS SO SWEET!!!Please support this family owned business. They’re so great!Kid-friendliness: Their 8 year old son was in the lobby, quietly reading and drawing!
