This is a great place to go for a burger! Maybe not the best burger on the planet but for something local, ethical, and delicious, they do a great job. The chicken sandwich should not be underestimated. It is excellent. The crew working there was super cool. If Gainesville werent so hot in the summer, this is the perfect hometown burger joint. Sweet potato tots are the best!

Waited in the drive-through for 15 minutes just for them to give me fries instead of tots and forget the sauce on the side. The burger was good though.

Ordered a burger, salad, and strawberry milkshake.
Salad- 0/5 they did not chop the lettuce. Yes, at all. Full leaves of lettuce with dressing. Impossible to eat and soggy.
Burger- 3/5 it’s a fine burger, but dripping in grease.
Milkshake- 2/5 tastes like the strawberry milkshake from Circle K. Just sugary and artificial tasting.

The service was very good but the quality wasn't. For $20 a drink-fries and a burger, I was expecting at least good taste. A random burger from a fast food chain taste better. I won't come back.

We recently visited this place and received really good service but the food was horrible. The burgers were hard.. We asked for light condiments. The burger had so much mayo, ketchup and mustard that the burger was soggy and sloppy and we couldn’t eat the burger at all so we threw them away. I tried to contact them as we don’t live in Gainesville, but there is no public #. A complete waste of $24. I don’t remember them being like this. As we have ate here before and the burger was fresh and made as requested.

The most holy ground in Gainesville. The only place I will pay $20 for a modified burger with large fries and a shake and be crying tears of joy every time. The quality of every ingredient is amazing, the shakes are always changing and are yet are consistently some of the best you can get. The fries are always fresh and crispy. The burger itself is masterpiece of flavor. There's nothing not to love about Dick Mondell's.
