Went with my boys with the money to buy a table to have a good night. Paid $500 roughly for a table. Waited 10 minutes for the girls to “prepare the table”. Was then told someone else bought the table and refused to give back the $500. Straight thieves.

Great safe bar across from UF. The staff are very friendly. It is students only M - F and they must have a student ID. This is a safe place for students to hang out.

JJ's is a pretty alright bar. I'm from Orlando area and the bars don't compare to the one's here in Gainesville, but if any Gainesville bar were to give Orlando bars a run for their money, it'd be JJ's. It's never too busy because they don't let the place get to the point where it's shoulder to shoulder. Drinks here are severely overpriced compared to other bars in the area and the music is alright, could be better. If you're bored on a Friday night and need something to do, see if JJ's is running any specials for covers or drinks and it'll be worth it.

I went with a group of coworkers to celebrate someone turning 18. I was the oldest person in the place, lmao. Had to explain what a gin & tonic was to the bartender. Music was hot garbage… inexperienced DJ couldn’t seem to line up tracks correctly… randomly skipping from one thing to the next. Pic is of the line to get in on a Friday night.
