Ate at Leonardos last night and ordered a Big Leo. Thought something was missing in the toppings. Couldn’t determine at restaurant.
Had a piece for lunch today and found out not a spec of sausage on the pizza. Come on guys, you’re not giving them away.
I’ve been all around America….Detroit, Chicago and N.Y. Leonardo’s is better than all the pizza I’ve had at those places with the only one holding its on it NY but it’s two totally different styles…deep dish vs hand tossed so that’s the battle between that right there…No one has a better tasting sauce than LEONARDOS…I’m currently in Houston & can’t wait to get back to Fl an grab a slice…
one of the best pizza places around. Great taste and service!

Leonardo's Pizza of Millhopper is a beloved local restaurant in Gainesville, offering a simple yet well-crafted menu. The restaurant is known for its homemade rolls, pizza crust, and delicious gluten-free pizza bowls. Customers praise the great food, efficient service, and quick delivery. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with seating for about 98 people, wooden partitions, and booths made of the same wood from many years ago. Many visitors feel transported back in time when they taste the pizza, which is described as utterly delicious and delectable. Some customers mention that Leonardo's pizza is the best they've ever had, surpassing even famous pizzerias from Chicago, Detroit, and New York, with the only competition being New York-style pizza. The chef and owner, Leonardo, has kept the recipes consistent for over 50 years, making it a local gem. Customers often visit repeatedly, especially for the pizza, which is highly praised for its flavor and fresh ingredients. The garlic rolls are considered the best around. However, some recent reviews note occasional issues with toppings, such as missing sausage on a Big Leo pizza, but overall, Leonardo's remains a highly recommended favorite in Gainesville. Customers also advise not to ask for ranch dressing to go with the pizza, as it is not served that way.
