There are two steps to get into the bar area….. so as a wheelchair user I’m excluded from eating at the bar like a normal person. I’m single so I don’t want to sit on the patio alone……. A ramp isn’t hard to

I was in town for 10 days and I ate here 3 times. The chic-fil-loosey is one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. Get it buffalo hot with a side of ranch. The employees are absolutely fantastic and I cannot wait to be back.

Fun bar! They have good draft beer and chicken wings! If it had been lunch or dinner time, we would have ordered more food.

My brother took me to Loosey's when I visited him in Gainesville recently and it was easy to see why this is one of his favorite spots! The food is amazing and the cocktails are delicious and priced very well. Highly recommend!

When you walk in, it is a bit off-putting if you're going for dinner. At first glance, when you walk in, it looks like dark dive bar. Don't get me wrong, I love a dive bar! Just not as a dinner spot. I was wrong!!! The food was completely amazing!!! The truffle fries are a MUST!! So good!! The wings, I got Thai Cilli, were the best! Biggest wings I've had in awhile! If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular! #takemymoney

Loosey's is a throwback. A downtown bar that opens at 11 am on weekdays is bound to attract a certain clientele. They're here: PBR drinkers and black-shirt, tattooed types, artists, felons, rich, poor, all, some or none of these things. Also here, just down the bar, young professionals, drinking craft brews while staring at Salesforce on their high-end laptops at noon. You can almost imagine a modern-day Faulkner sipping cocktails al fresco under whirling fans, on the cobblestones of First Avenue. Inside, it's the perpetual cool twilight that tricks the internal clock of day-drinkers; forget the cruel sun and heat outside, it's 5:00 here. You'll find the brick and dark wood, standard to downtown bars who want to show some age. You'll see 25ish taps of craft brews and ciders, a couple of nitro taps, and macro brews. They only serve American beers, half of which are from Florida, and several that are very rare. The spirits selection covers all the basics and has enough of the unusual and high-end to satisfy every drinker. The food is as excellent as one would expect from a quality gastropub. You'll find the requisite bar food, elevated through ingredients and techniques to exquisite results. The truffle fries are a must-have. The food and drink scene in Gainesville is constantly improving as the city continues to grow. It's always exciting to find new places that exceed and reset expectations, and Loosey's is certainly one of them.

I love this place, as long as you eat outside. The food is great, and the drinks are better. I've never been there for live entertainment, but I hear it's pretty rockin.
