I've been here a few times and I am proud to say that I think it's the best soul food in the area. I usually get the oxtails with macaroni and cheese and candied yams, but definitely try the meatloaf too when you get a chance! The macaroni and cheese is a must-order, seriously! The oxtails are so delicious (be sure to arrive early and get them before they sell out!) and the cornbread is done really well. Everything I've tried so far has been tasty and has left me needing a good nap. The service is super friendly and welcoming, and I have nothing bad to say about this spot. This is a restaurant where the food is so good, you'll be left deciding whether to recommend it to everyone or gatekeep it for yourself. Absolutely wonderful food and service, can't wait to be back!

Found them by accident and I’m so glad! The staff were so friendly and quick. They even had a teenager at the expo station. I love to see families employing their own youth.

Prices were great. Oxtail 3 sides cornbread and banana pudding $22😲 This is my new Sunday treat in Gainesville.

I was greeted with the most pleasant attitude and smile. Walking up I could smell the food. Customer service was everything, the prices are reasonable. The food was so good/delicious I'm in Florida working and have not had anything worth my money this Gem did not disappoint. 10 stars all across the board. This will be my place of choice while staying here working!

I’ve been waiting to try this place for a long long time! I pull up. I walk up to the food truck I get greeted and I don’t know if it’s Lucille or not but The person I spoke to was so sweet and so kind! I love that that just made my experience a whole lot better! I got me that oxtail with yellow rice, mac & cheese, and collard greens! If I tell you that my to go box was like 8 pounds I couldn’t believe it! And as you can see in the pictures it tastes as good as it looks! So much flavor my mouth is watering as I use my talk to text to write this lol! The food truck was at 1602 Main St. if you don’t go then you’re missing out! I will be back to try everything on that menu!
