East End Eatery Reviews
East End Eatery is my favorite breakfast place in Gainesville! The best breakfast burrito in town! Always fresh veggies, gouda cheese grits that always satisfy, even a Florida native like me. Treat yourself to the best waffle in town. Crisp outside with light fluffy center. Not heavy at all.
Real shrimp and grits worth the wait for cooked to order meal. The service is always friendly with a smile. The owner works all areas. She loves to meet customers. Hope you enjoy the experience...read full review

East End Eatery is a popular spot for many, especially known for its breakfast. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with unique artwork from local artists on the walls, which are also available for purchase. The service is friendly and attentive, with many noting the exceptional service from staff members. The food is highly praised for its freshness and quality. They offer gluten-free and vegan options, including a Tempeh Scramble with Potatoes that is thoughtfully prepared using local tempeh. The menu features dishes like scrambled eggs with gouda Grits, French toast with real maple syrup, and the highly recommended huevos rancheros. Vegetarian choices like the tempeh scramble with mushrooms, spinach, and tomatoes served in a delicious sauce topped with cheese are also popular. Customers enjoy the salads and paninis, and the environment is relaxing and beautiful, making it a great place for conversation. While some have noted smaller portions and slower kitchen service during lunch hours, many find the prices reasonable and the quality better than most breakfast venues. The restaurant does not accept credit cards, only cash, local checks, or Venmo. East End Eatery remains a delightful dining experience with interesting art on all the walls, a beautiful patio for outdoor dining, and a kid-friendly area with toys.
