“I’m from New York living in Gainesville for two years and have eaten at nearly every restaurant in town, many in high regards to the locals, but are always shockingly abysmal to the tastebuds with a great embarrassment to the culinary community. However, 43rd Street Deli is the one exception in Gainesville that is a must in your regular breakfast/brunch rotation. It was the first time and we will be back. The special, Bahni Mi Benedict, was 100% bomb! Everything was properly seasoned with actual love put into the food.“

“Went on a very busy Sunday morning and our waiter was very attentive and sweet. We were seated right away and our food came out very quickly considering how packed it was.I ordered the regular breakfast quesadilla and my boyfriend got some sort of speciality brisket quesadilla. Both were very good; they came with sour cream and salsa. Good portion size and extremely filling. The hashbrowns and home fries are also super good. The menu has a large variety of options, and it is not too overpriced. Overall one of my favorite breakfast spots in Gainesville and they have 2 locations“

“I was in town for a work meeting a few weeks ago and stopped by for a cup of coffee on my way into the office. I felt bad when I realized it was a cafe but really wanted the caffeine. I asked for a cup and they asked what size and what I'd like in it. The ladies were SO NICE and I truly appreciated their generosity that day. And yes, I am paying it forward.“

“I had the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, and it was soooo good. And I'm picky about my biscuits and gravy lol. Also, our waitress was super attentive, and it was really really busy, so that was impressive! Also the grits are the best I've ever had ? love this place!“
