“East End Eatery is my favorite breakfast place in Gainesville! The best breakfast burrito in town! Always fresh veggies, gouda cheese grits that always satisfy, even a Florida native like me. Treat yourself to the best waffle in town. Crisp outside with light fluffy center. Not heavy at all. Real shrimp and grits worth the wait for cooked to order meal. The service is always friendly with a smile. The owner works all areas. She loves to meet customers. Hope you enjoy the experience as much as I do.“
“Our waitress Michelle was amazing. I was there with my 88yo father and she was patient waiting on him. She even went above and beyond assisting as we were getting up to leave and helping steady his walker while I helped get him up and standing.

“Super nice Waffle House albeit on the smaller side if you're used to large waffle houses on road stops while traveling. My mom and I were hankering for pancakes, and they did not disappoint! Just a bit crowded. Seemed like they had their regulars sitting on the counter bar stools. Totally worth the very friendly service and tasty breakfast food.“

“What a great way to end my trip before heading to the airport.
The food was excellent from start to finish. The bacon was cooked perfectly—crispy without being overdone—and everything on my plate was hot, fresh, and very flavorful. It’s easy to see why Waffle House has such a loyal following.
The real standout, though, was my server, Kinzey. She was absolutely spot on. Friendly, attentive, kept my drink filled, checked on me at the right times, and provided some of the best service I’ve received anywhere in quite a while. She made the entire experience enjoyable.
One thing that also surprised me was how comfortable the booths were. They actually had built-in lumbar support, which was a welcome surprise for someone with back issues. It’s a small detail, but it made a noticeable difference in comfort.
The restaurant was clean, the staff worked well together, the food came out quickly, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations.
I’ll definitely make this Waffle House a stop anytime I’m back in Gainesville. Great food, outstanding service from Kinzey, and a genuinely enjoyable breakfast.“

“Had the million dollar breakfast sandwich. It is wonderful. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Great people make a great experience. Love coming here after church on Sunday, but also for lunch during the week - particularly if I need a pick-me-up.“
