The mango smoothie is EVERYTHING AND Jose was a great server. I always get the pork bowl and it's the right mix of meat, rice, beans and plantains.

My boyfriend took me to Mi Apa today after a long day of work. Both of us had not eaten today so we were both cranky. Thankfully our awesome server Sergio was the cure to our hangriness! He was quick and on top of everything. I got the Miami sandwich and my boyfriend got this bowl with beef, rice and plantains. We sat outside on the patio and despite that we never felt ignored by Sergio. Great service, food and ambiance. Will definitely be coming again!

If you are driving thru Gainesville FL and you and your crew are hungry. This is going to be your jam! Healthier than a fast food restaurant and efficient and detailed oriented. I was driving to Boca Raton and I was hungry when I saw the billboard of this restaurant. So I decided to stay hungry to enjoy some cuban food. I would suggest to enter the information in your GPS because it is in a plaza and it is not easily seen but if you use the GPS, you should have no problems. I ordered the cuban sandwich which with a side of plantains. The bread was nice and crispy, the flavor was on point and filling. Enough mustard and ham and pork that it was not overwhelming. I was hungry and I could only eat half (1/2) of the sandwich. The plantains were hot and ripped which is the way it should be. The service was fast, accurate and to the point. Which I love when traveling because you are not waiting 30 minutes for 1 sandwich. The restaurant has pictures of Cuba and their colors which creates the ambiance that you are on the Island and never took your passport out. If you are hungry when driving thru this are and want something that has not been frozen from 20 years ago and a healthier option. This is your SPOT!

We stopped in on our way through Gainesville. We needed a quick to go lunch on the road. We ordered the Cuban sandwich and Ham Croquettes. Both were delicious. The bread was perfect. Toasted enough to warm the bread but not dry it out or make it hard. The croquettes were yummy. Crispy outside and soft on the inside. The service was quick and friendly. Well definitely stop in when we are in town next time.

Authentic Cuban cuisine in a fast food type and restaurant setting. The food is good, and you get it pretty quick. I hope to go again when I come back.

Good food, good service, reasonably priced. I go with the tops vieja. They have great empanadas as well.

Great friendly service and the food is good. Visiting niece from south Florida so of course she wanted us to bring up some items that she's been missing form home. But while in the area we wanted to see what they have to offer. (Way back in my day) the pickings were very limited. Great that this venue is adding some variety. Vegetarian Empanada - crispy, not greasy and well seasoned. Picadillo - I loved this so much. The only thing I couldn't swap out the white rice for yellow. The one lost star was because of the tostones vs maduras issue. The menu I saw said maduras (sweet plaintains). I asked if that's all they had and was told YES so I passed on that. My niece decides to order since she loves the sweet ones but instead gets tostones (the green plantains). Of course I ate her tostones but don't know why the servers don't know the difference? The mango juice tasted like it came from fresh/frozen mangos instead of some overly sweet concentrate - if I'm wrong oh well keep that one. All around still a good venue.

Absolute rip off. For $10, I got the arroz con Pollo, and the portion size is 1/3 of what it looks like on the menu. The chicken was barely there: just little shreds of chicken, probably no more than 3 grams of protein from the chicken. Looks worse than British prison food. The taste was decent though, but it will not fill you up. Totally not worth the price

The best coffee, the tastiest food in the entire Reitz food court, but above all, the best service. My dad has the best customer service in all of UF
