Good service they have their own take on Italian, I did like the cold fresh glass bottled filtered water !!! If you're looking to go to Olive garden this isn't place!!! But the food was good the fresh bread was good but it wasn't included in the price!!! And the meatballs taste like meatloaf kind of disappointed in that but the food was good service with a smile I'm not badly priced I might go again if I'm in the area

Oggi is an Italian restaurant based in Tampa, with a location in Gainesville. And boy, am I glad we have the ability to eat their food here. When you walk in you're greeted and seated with a large bottle of cold water for the table to share. I love when restaurants do this so I'm not constantly waiting for a water refill and can go at my own pace. After ordering, they will bring you a complimentary appetizer. Ours was toasted bread, pickled onions, hummus, and tomatoes in olive oil and herbs. Everything on the plate was absolutely delicious and a nice touch. The menu has standard Italian food: chicken parmesan, spaghetti, ravioli, etc. Every dish is around $20 or more, so it can be a bit pricey but is very nice for a date. Because of the high prices, you'll find less younger college students and a more quiet atmosphere. The chicken parmesan was phenomenal. The piece of chicken I received was massive, on top of the large amount of spaghetti that was plated. You definitely get what you pay for with this dish and I ended up eating the rest for lunch the next day. They'll box up your leftovers for you in the back, which is nice. For dessert, we ordered the roasted pineapple and it was a great cap to the meal. I highly recommend checking out Oggi, whether for yourself or for a nice date!

Best Italian spot I could think of to go to in Gainesville. When they first opened the meatballs were amazing and then they got weird at a point later on but now they're back to normal and I love them again so yeah definitely amazing I always got the spaghetti and meatballs

New management is not fit for the job. Outside sitting should be pet friendly. I was a regular...one of the few this places has...Food is always okay...close enough to an okay Italian food place...but after today's experience...we are never coming back.

Horrible all around. Service was great but that is it. I was raised in an Italian household, my grandparents are from Italy, this cuisine is too "Americanized". They have more turnaround with their chefs then clients... I recommend you try but be aware-prices are insane.

I had been wanting to check Oggi out for quite some time in Tampa . I never had a chance to try it before moving so I was really excited when I found out they opened a location in Gainesville. I tried Oggi out on my anniversary. I wanted Italian but didn't want to go anywhere overly bougie. Oggi was the perfect place for this. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It's not casual but not fancy at the same time. Perfect for a date in my opinion. The service was the best part. As soon as we walked in a lady greeted us (maybe the manager) with the biggest smile. She was SO nice. She seemed genuinely excited that it was my anniversary and went out of her way to talk to us and joke around. When we were leaving she made sure to say bye and gave us hugs. That's some seriously nice service. Our server was also excellent and extremely attentive. We ordered the chicken rigatoni and pistachio crusted chicken. The chicken rigatoni was the better of the two dishes. Overall the food was good but not amazing. For dessert I ordered Cannolis and coffee. Both were really good. Even though the the entrees weren't amazing I would still go back and try something new. That's how much I loved my experience there.

I was really impressed with the quality of food here. Had the lasagna, so delicious! The sauce had a little heat to it from the sausage but it was great! I would rate this place higher than any other chain Italian place like Carrabba's or Olive Garden, better quality and taste at about the same price.

We went to this place on a Saturday at 2 pm they only had brunch. The first thing we noticed is how hot the restaurant was. Luckily the water was ice cold and we continued on. My son and I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with ricotta. We got a tiny portion of pasta with one and half meatballs and no ricotta. My husband tried to order steak and eggs but it was not available. He ended up with a salad with a chicken cutlet - which was mediocre. The spaghetti and meatballs was gross. An italian restaurant that has such a terrible marinara sauce is a crying shame. The highlight of my dish was a tiny piece of garlic bread that I tried not to dip in the sauce.
