Sonic Drive-In in Gainesville

“Although it is (unfortunately) started in Oklahoma, I am from Texas and this is a "staple" like another restaurant that rhymes with "Waterburger". If Florida could step up the taste and food choices like Texas, we would eat there more than occasionally. But I do stop in for the slushies and "Halloween Corndogs" and the occasional "Footlong Cheese and Onion" that taste pretty good.“

“Checked out the new location. They still seem to be doing training and there are some glitches. Order was not done the way I asked for and food was not hot when delivered to my vehicle. Tasted fine though and will return again in a week or so. I wish they could have convinced the city/county to allow the west bound traffic to turn into the VA building road and then turn right into the back side of Sonics instead of making us do a u-turn and then turn into Sonics. I will not do that during 5 o'clock traffic because of the high volume of aggressive drivers going both directions.“
