Food here is underrated
Taro milk tea is my favorite. I order it all the time. I ordered one today and it tasted RANCID. Like one of the ingredients were spoiled. I told the workers and they denied it was even possible. They just kept explaining how the drink was prepared. I asked them if I could switch to a different drink and they said they have to charge me for another one….. I was so mad I just set the drink on the counter and walked out. Why if I’m telling you the drink tastes RANCID would you not try to make me happy? I spent $6.15 for this drink plus a tip. lol what a joke.
Edited to add: my fiancé picked me up & talked them into issuing a refund. We went to teastori and got some amazing taro tea!

Ordered a mango tea drink with Yakult. Drink was pretty good at 50% sugar. I wish they had blended the drink a little longer. There were big ice chunks still in the drink, not very pleasant.

Creme brulee crepe cake. Please get this cake if you want to eat the creamiest and fluffiest most well balanced dessert you'd ever had in your life. Not only do you get tasty treats but you get customer service. The shop feels very authentic and very boutique. It's very exclusive. If you're in the know you might want to keep this one to yourself that's just how terrific it is. ?????, Enjoy.
Still has some of the most flavorful ramen in Gainesville. Super filling and tasty definitely recommend for the ramen lovers out there.

Very yummy! Reminds me of the quality of tea I would get when I went to Taiwan :)FYI there is a 4% credit card charge (credit card companies often charge a lot to small businesses), so it’s best to pay in cash.

Every time I've been here, it's been fine, but today I wanted a taro slush and didn't get it. I went to the kiosk, selected the slush section, and chose taro. I missed the option for Latte and Slush, which might be my mistake. However, there's another section just for tea lattes, which made me overlook it. I admit I didn't read carefully, but the machine's setup isn't right. Plus, if you choose the latte option under the slush section, it's more expensive. Both my friend and I ended up with taro lattes, but I was charged $6.99 when the taro latte under the latte section is $6.45, both prices after tax. This seems like a management issue because it feels like a scam.

Very helpful service. Food was great!
I was so excited to visit this place because I love boba, but unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with Bestea. I asked the cashier about vegan options, but she was unfriendly, dismissive, and unhelpful. I inquired about the Taro tea when another employee came and told me there was no dairy in the taro boba tea. But I had doubts, so I asked to see the ingredient list. The reluctance in her response made me feel like I was a burden. She finally agreed to show me the list and I saw it contained milk derivatives. I have a dairy allergy, so this was a serious issue. Not once did either of the employees apologize for their negligence in lying about nondairy ingredients, or for failing to do their due diligence in checking the ingredients thoroughly. Additionally, I had ordered vegetable gyozas. The gyozas tasted mediocre at best, and it seemed like they had been fried after being frozen, so I asked for chili oil. The employee begrudgingly agreed but then, a few moments later, decided to charge me for it (arbitrarily). Notably, this chili oil is given for free at most similar establishments. Not only was I being charged for an item that is usually given for free, but this item was not listed as an item on the menu that was subject to charge. (Florida law requires restaurants to clearly state in their menus or advertisements the items that are subject to charges. §877.06) By the end of this experience, I felt unwelcome as a vegan and as someone with a dairy allergy. I will not be returning to this discriminatory establishment.

Not for kids. In an attempt to give my kids something to eat, I ordered “extra noodles” and told them to put it on the side. They said ok, and still mixed everything into one plate. Kids are picky so it’s difficult to get them anything. The restaurant wasn’t very helpful either.
