Never eat here. I placed an order for food and the restaurant did not send me not one thing I ordered or paid for. They also said they replaced my curry chicken with another food and it's not even what i received. I received a 20 plate platter of plantains. When they said plantains were not in stock. Lol. I made sure to get my money back with door dash and I want to complain but I know they do not care. Especially when one spends hundreds on food for so called "quality". I called 3 times to voice my complaint but everytime I call the person who answered just hung up back to back and I could not even speak to them. The service and quality is a zero for me. Heads up and be ware of this place. THEY HAVE HORRIBLE SERVICE. WOULD PISS ANYONE OFF. THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

The food is excellent!! We did wait 30 mins for lunch special but it was worth it. The portion was a little on the small side but it was flavorful and fresh. And the staff was friendly. I'll be back.

Last week, I ordered brown stew chicken with rice & peas and steamed veggies. I've ordered the same thing before and it's been fine, bu when I got home this last time, not only was the rice very mushy, but I got 2 small strips of cabbage and ginger shredded carrots (which was never previously sold like that). Also, I had a little bit of chicken and something else that wasn't chicken, but reeked of ginger (still not sure if it was a vegetarian option or whatever). I couldn't even eat my meal. I just wish they would have told me that they were out of Brown Stew Chicken instead of throwing something together and making me waste my money. Very disappointing and never again!👎🏾👎🏾

Excessive effort to receive the order even when the restaurant is empty

This type of horrible customer service only leads to one thing... a closed down restaurant. I've been here enough times to leave a valid review. As many times as I've come, the customer service has literally been bad every time, even with leaving the workers a tip for to-go orders. The workers do their best to make you feel unwelcome and like you're bothering them. It's all good though, I know what to do.... take my monies elsewhere.

The only thing that's wrong with this place is the amount of food they give you, for the price your paying is ridiculous, u can go to Dutch pot, or Jamaican house and get full plate of food for less but the location, is great right by 95 it's so many lounges and club close to this place it should be pack but, the food don't equal the price u pay, and the service could be better, hopefully they'll improve.

To be honest, I love Dunn Rivers food atmosphere, and the majority of their staff. However, what I don’t like is that when the ring up your food if you give them cash, they will not give you your correct change back. They keep the coins and give your dollars. For example, if your food comes to $21.39 and you give them $25 Your change should be $3.61. They give you your three dollars but keep the $.61 without your permission. I just looked at the young lady with the discuss because I would’ve given her a two dollar tip even though she essentially didn’t do anything but receive the money for my order. But I still was gonna give her a two dollar tip instead I felt the $.61 would do being nice. It was disrespectful for her to just decide to take it. I didn’t want to be petty. I so I thought I’d write a review and say to the people make sure you get to change back.

Orders are mostly incorrect and service with an attitude. This is my 3rd time getting food here and my last. I bought a curried goat this evening and asked for extra gravy, the container had so much grave that it poured over into the bag and was packaged same way. I would also advise that you check orders yourself before leaving and do not rely on who takes your order. They have no customer service, the simplest of queries or requests are delivered with an attitude, which makes you feel like a bother. DUNNS RIVER CAFE remember you provide a service to the public and if we don’t come you have no business….we spend for you to get paid. Maybe attitude is a requirement for the job who knows BUT ALSO ITS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER

I had a pick up order there. I told them the name and oddly they only gave me half the food which I unfortunately did not realize. I called and let them know and asked what they could do to make things right as they were negligent and the guy was very rude. He said I could just come back and get it. I asked if incould speak to the owner and he rudely said no. Asked to speak to the owner again when I got back and the girl they gave a ridiculous response

Food was very good. I had the fish. Service was not so great. The waitress was not super responsive at all. She avoided our table for almost an hour. I'm not sure why. There was no conflict whatsoever. She just kept ignoring us. But they have a great band on Friday nights! It's worth it just for the band!!!

Tasty food especially the fried chicken with ginger gravey and oxtail gravey. And the jerk chicken was so good i had to get a large and get both always. I enjoy the fresh salad the meals come with as well. I love the food here consistency is always here also. Good home cooked meal here. Love it.

So we are new to this place! We went up to the counter and ordered! They did not ask us if we were dining in or taking it to go. Since we were a little tired we said let’s sit and eat. We sat at the bar and the stools are so uncomfortable so we decided to sit down. The guy practically push George out the way to get to the table to clean, so I said wow…then he asked if we are dining in and we said yes. He then proceeded to tell us that we cannot sit because we were taking it out, that we should know because we went to the counter! We had to tell him this is our first time and we did not know the protocol. No one gave us the option. Funny how the employees see new faces and don’t give a warm welcome! That’s why the place is empty!

Wife and I came in, weren’t greeted. Not even hello. Waited 30 minutes for 2 of the worst meat patties I’ve ever had. Complete waste of time and money. The only reason they’re getting 1 star is bc I can’t give them negative stars.
