New owner Sean took over 1 month ago. We were very critical because we’ve been going to Il Mercato over 10 years when Andres was the owner.

The food was fabulous! We had amazing calamari, delicious eggplant parmesan and my husband’s “best puttanesca pasta ever” and he is extremely critical.

Gab was a very attentive waiter.

Hope you all give them a try… you’ll be pleasantly surprised, as we were!

Evidently there is new ownership and a new chef. We have enjoyed this restaurant as our go to after church and hadn’t been in a while. Last night mushroom risotto special for the evening was recommended by the server and it did not disappoint! I had it with cod and it was delicious and perfectly made with wonderful flavors! My husband who is picky said he preferred my meal over his steak dinner which he always loves. Worth finding this restaurant tucked in between Publix and Juicy Seafood on Hallendale Boulevard! Enjoy!

Used to love this place; and used to dine here very often for years. However; the magic is gone.

First Diego left, and then the girl whose name I can’t recall left too. They used to make us feel so welcomed… always making friendly conversation, bringing more bread, offering lemoncello…. Little details that add to a great experience and that made us ignore certain things like food not being very consistent or being a little overpriced.

I feel like I am mourning the Il Mercato I loved and its great former atmosphere :(

Delicious food. Miss the pasta served in the big parmesean wheel, but food is outstanding! The grilled artichokes OMG!!!

My family of 4 went to an early dinner at il Mercato and we loved it! We have 2 little babies so we went right at 5 when they opened and had the entire place to ourselves! The food was amazing and the service was fast and friendly! They even gave us complimentary limoncello and gelato which we haven’t had since our honeymoon in Italy! Loved it and would recommend it to everyone 10/10 :)
