Big Dawgs 2 is kind of hidden off of Davie Road Extension in a very basic strip mall. Nothing fancy; lots of TVs, beer signs, pool tables, and dart boards. There is free parking and no cover. It seems to be popular with the locals; but not overly crowded either. There are 2 bars and a stage for live music. I went with friends on a Saturday night to hear the local band, Nobody's Fault. The music was rockin' and loud and the beers were cold and delivered quickly to us. I didn't try the food but one friend ordered a quesadilla and she said it wasn't very good & actually sent it back. It doesn't really seem like a place to come to for a meal; but I did read some reviews saying the food was good . (Especially the burgers). I just had beer, but my husband did try to order an old-fashioned and the bartender said they didn't have bitters, which was kind of surprising because it's a really trendy drink right now. He ordered a Jack & Diet Coke instead. The prices were good; $4 for domestic beers and someone , I assume a manager, saw a group of us standing around so he brought over 2 high top tables & some stools. Overall it was a fun place to drink, hang out with friends, and hear some awesome live local music!
