Very nice. Food is nothing exceptional - not exceptionally good or bad. Be sure to get your parking validated. Our server was nice enough to ask but I wouldn't count on it. It can save you over $20 if you drive.
Server from Argentina was lovely and did a fabulous setting. Food and Mimosas were delicious. Thank you!!
Harry our server was wonderful ❤️, will highly recommend Point Royal at the Diplomat for anyone visiting Hollywood .
Jim is truly an angel. I can’t speak to the food, but the coffee is delightful. What really got the five stars though, was Jim. I had come 2 days in a row, and the second day I was clearly very upset. Jim gave me kind words, talked to me about his time spent the city in which I go to school, and just made me feel much better. The world is better with people like this in it. Jim—if you ever see this, thank you - Howard Law

Amazing place. This is the one jewel in the horrible hotel. The people and the employees are INCREDIBLY KIND and will care for your satisfaction. They listen carefully to any special requests (oat milk instead of regular milk for me) and deliver with exceptional SPEED! Their service was never slow. The max wait time was 5 minutes during the 10 times I was here during my stay. They love their jobs and TRULY CARE! They pay attention to detail with such care it’s shocking because the rest of my Diplomat stay was crap.

Food itself was okay, the price was just wild. Can easily spend like 30-40 bucks just on two or three coffees. Customer service was a mixture - some people were really friendly and helpful, others were barely paying attention

The fish is terrible sent back the octopus and should have sent back the shrimp but felt bad for the nice server.
First of all the price of the buffet is higher than what's advertised on their website and too high for what's offered. When I went at 10:30 the restaurant was full of noisy kids and teenagers with their families, not everyone's vibe for a brunch. I figured parking across the street would be more reasonable than valet, nope. Lastly, while I was at the buffet and returned to my table, it was being cleared for another group of people. I mean COME ON people!!! So I stood there with my plates while they reset MY table. Unbelievable...
Buffet line was not controlled by staff. One patron stood at front of omelette line and allowed one family member after another, at least 6 - 8 to cut in front of rest of line and continued to place orders in front of other guests. $36 for buffet is too expensive for value and quality of meal.
Counter Point has an amazing serve team and great coffee. My family stayed for a few days and the baristas made such an effort to get to know us and make our time enjoyable. Highly recommend!!

Overall, our business lunch was great. The only thing we noted was there was a concrete jackhammer being used right outside where we were seated which made it difficult to have a conversation.
The food quality is very poor, and prices are very high for what you're getting. Even though it's a resort with a captive audience - surprised they'd have such poor food quality, limited choices.

This cafe is inside of The Diplomat and the only one available. It looks really nice inside but I wasn’t thrilled about their iced coffee (which was $6.42 for a medium). I thought this cafe would have better coffee than the one that was given throughout the day at the conference. It tastes exactly the same and is probably from there. It’s bitter and tastes burnt—had to add milk to it which I typically do not prefer. The line is really long in the mornings and there’s only one person working the register (however, the staffs are friendly).

It took almost 40 minutes for two scrambled eggs, and one over easy plates to be served. The server was very friendly and attentive, but the kitchen was very slow. It was more than $100 for two coffees and three plates of eggs.
Corned beef hash was excellent. Server was very friendly and efficient. Make a reservation, even for breakfast. It saved as a lot of time as there was a long line.
