About Newt's Crab Trap

Newt's Crab Trap, previously located on Dixie north of Hollywood Boulevard, was a food truck run by a friendly and polite chef who caught and sold his seafood the same day. The truck was known for its fresh and high-quality seafood, as well as its reasonable prices.

One popular dish was the Buttered Crabs, which came with a generous 7-8 pounds of crab legs for $50. Customers could also find shrimp Po Boys and mahi tacos on the menu, which were served on fresh hamburger buns with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The mahi tacos were blackened and could be made to the customer's desired level of spiciness.

The food truck was located in a Motel 6 parking lot and customers were welcome to sit on the grass and enjoy their meals. The chef was attentive to his customers and genuinely cared about their dining experience.

Newt's Crab Trap was also kid-friendly, as long as the children enjoyed seafood. There was adequate parking near the truck and the chef was willing to accommodate customers with mobility issues. The chef offered a call-ahead option for those with special needs.

In addition to the food, the chef was open to working with a Google certified 360 photographer to showcase the food truck and its offerings. Overall, Newt's Crab Trap was a wonderful dining experience from beginning to end, with fresh and delicious seafood and a caring and attentive chef.
