We’ve been here many times before over the pst couple of years and always enjoyed the menu, however that menu has changed and now everything is a disappointment. They used to have a good mix of heavy and lighter items, but now everything is super heavy and served hot. It’s the very last kind of food you’d want to eat in 90°+ weather with the sun beating down. Especially poolside. Their $24 burger is a frozen patty. And their $27 nachos contain zero real melted cheese, only a disgusting, liquid, oozing “cheese sauce” and the chicken comes in giant, rock-hard chunks. Charging nearly $30 for this abomination should result in criminal charges. And there is no consistency- my daughter ordered the kids’ grilled cheese two days in a row. The sandwich was different each day and the fries were served with different brands of condiments on each day. On a positive note, the kids’ hot dog was a decent size and tasted great. Bring back the tuna salad sandwich and BLT!

Beautiful nice bar and restaurant on the beach with vacation vibe. The food was pretty bad. The wings were burnt, so half of them had dry meat in it. Ceviche is not chopped, whole shrimps with a spoun of guacamole, onions, and some cold bouillon in it, far from ceviche. Turkey BLT is on a soft bun, not toasted, and looks and tastes like a sandwich from 7/11. The only delicious thing was loaded nachos even though it wasn't loaded that much, but the chicken on it was good... The waitress wasn't smiling. We asked her to fix the table because it was moving, but she never did. Overall, the place needs some improvement, especially in this kind of location in Diplomat Hotel.

Playa Beach Bar and Grill is an absolute gem! We were greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The beachfront location offers stunning views, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.

The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We particularly loved the seafood dishes, which were incredibly fresh and delicious. The cocktails were equally impressive, with a great selection of creative and classic options.

The service was impeccable; our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The live music added to the fun and laid-back ambiance, making our evening even more enjoyable.

You can order food and here but it's mostly just a bar. It's kind of nice that you can order chips and salsa and they will bring it to you poolside but good luck flagging someone down. The food was not bad but I gave three stars just because the service was terrible and they force the gratuity on you. During the busy time of day it's almost impossible to get someone to take your order and they don't care because they know they're getting their tip either way. It's more of a convenience if you are sitting by the pool. Also, they close at 8 Pm you can only really come here for an early dinner and the selection is very limited. Not the worst restaurant at the Diplomat but there are better places to eat.

Very bad food. Bad service. Automatic 20% trip added, which hurts so much given the horrendous service. Very nice location though, right on beach. We had mahi mahi sandwiches. Tasteless.Will not go back.

I dont know why ya'll vote this place so highly the food was disgusting. I ordered ceviche and literally a whole bowl of defrosted shrimp came out which is NOT ceviche. The waitress was cool and took it off the bill but it was gnarly. My husband ordered the Cubano sandwich and it looked like a wet slipper and had no flavor. Gross.

Food was great! Service was awful. Don’t know waitresses name but had necklace with name on it and square sunglasses. Slow service and never gave us a check to sign when every other waiter or waitress did.

Amazing food and even better drinks. Irving our bartender was the most friendly and attentive. Couldn't recommend any higher. Try a Agua De Tropical and you won't be disappointed.
