Went for business breakfast, wanted to get table in back and get settled before client arrived but they refused to seat us until the full party was there, despite reservation and plenty of open tables. Waitress then told us if we orders a la cart instead of paying for $49 brunch it would take 35+ minutes. This was clearly a tactic to push their overpriced buffet as we resisted and orders a la cart and food came in ~15 minutes.

Throughout our entire trip and stay at The Diplomat, Jennifer, our waitress, was the most considerate and attentive! It's incredibly kid-friendly and the breakfast sausage and potatoes were great!

Very nice. Food is nothing exceptional - not exceptionally good or bad. Be sure to get your parking validated. Our server was nice enough to ask but I wouldn't count on it. It can save you over $20 if you drive.

They're about to renovate the restaurant. It was somewhat dated but very comfortable. Our waitress, Sofia, was very attentive and made some of the best Bloody Marys we've had in a while. My husband got the buffet. That was way too much food for me to even look at. I got a breakfast wrap. It was both delicious and filling. We would definitely go again to this restaurant. We would avoid paying the $50 in valet parking by parking across the street the next time.

Both our food and server were spectacular! I recommend to anyone staying at the Diplomat who does not want to venture out- stay and eat at the hotel. You will not be disappointed.
The fish is terrible sent back the octopus and should have sent back the shrimp but felt bad for the nice server.

I had the pleasure staying at this resort for a competition.there was a restaurant called point Royal where you dine in for breakfast or dinner but I just went for breakfast.There is a very helpful beautiful spirit,beautiful smile hard worker and breath of fresh air waitress by the name of Fiona, that made our breakfast experience so wonderful.She is a very hard worker,she made sure everyone was ok if there was any request she made sure that they was taking care of in a timely manner. They had her working all over the restaurant but she made sure all of her customers was taking care of. We experience another waiter that we had to ask numerous times for different things that we needed and sometimes didn't get. A lot more of the other waiters and waitresses should take notes from Fiona!!!....

First of all the price of the buffet is higher than what's advertised on their website and too high for what's offered. When I went at 10:30 the restaurant was full of noisy kids and teenagers with their families, not everyone's vibe for a brunch. I figured parking across the street would be more reasonable than valet, nope. Lastly, while I was at the buffet and returned to my table, it was being cleared for another group of people. I mean COME ON people!!! So I stood there with my plates while they reset MY table. Unbelievable...

Buffet line was not controlled by staff. One patron stood at front of omelette line and allowed one family member after another, at least 6 - 8 to cut in front of rest of line and continued to place orders in front of other guests. $36 for buffet is too expensive for value and quality of meal.
