This is a superb restaurant IF you order the right things. Example:

Ribeye steak - the best I've ever had and I've consumed thousands of top-rated steaks. This is really the best.

Caprese salad - again, the best I've ever had, and I've consumed a lot at different restaurants.

Seafood Paella - excellent.

Short rib - if you like it, it's cooked perfect.

The bread and butter - both remarkable

5 stars for all those dishes.

The hunter/gatherer salad isn't the best. The chef could make it much better. A better and more heavy dressing will help.

They need to bring back the El Conq. salad. That one was remarkable.

Food was extremely salty. The manager tried to correct the saltiness but even after supposedly redoing the dish, it was still salty. They made no other efforts to correct the our dissatisfaction.

We are locals and usually enjoy our outings here . This night it really dropped several levels. Not busy at all no other guest at the time we arrived at restaurant. We were seated right away and upon being seated I asked for the table to be cleaned which never happened. We put our drink orders in and then food orders. The Waiter brought our food but it was missing our salad and soup he apologized but we said forget it because we started our main course. I got my bill and it showed that my Gin tonic was charges a up charge of 3.50 for being put on ice. I was confused and question this and he stated it was up charge for my drink being on the rocks . I believe that was deceptive and he made no action to rectify the issue. He at no point told me I was charge for the ice or being on the rocks. I will seriously consider going to another location for dinner if this is the current situation. Lack of management and oversight.

Mission Inn is a lovely historic destination worth traveling to for golf, relaxation and beautiful grounds of live oaks and palm trees and now made even more lovely by the excellent Conquistador Bar & Restaurant. Everything was first class from the hostess, server Olivia, and comfortable but elegant ambience. The lighting is beautiful not too bright or dark, just right. The menu offered a wide variety of seafood, steak and vegetarian entrees with unique sauces and sides and appetizers to suit anyone. Our dinners of sea bass and shrimp were exceptional and the service was just right for our special dinner. It also helps to have beautiful views of the historic architecture and golf course from the 2nd story windows.

this place, surprised the crap out of us. It's very nice in the food is absolutely outstanding. 

It has beautiful areas for walking, and the food and service were exceptional. The flavors were truly unique to this place—something you don’t find elsewhere. The dishes and desserts were beautifully presented, and the staff was very attentive. While it’s not a quiet, romantic spot for an elegant dinner for two, it is cozy and very welcoming overall.

Had thanksgiving dinner there for 8 people. They took the reservation but didn’t have a table for 8? They would not push some tables together so we could sit together. So we had family Thanksgiving dinner not sitting together. Please don’t take a reservation if you can sit the party together!

Looking for a romantic intimate restaurant for a date night and checked many positive reviews for this restaurant and it was even recommended by AI. Let me describe the experience as a first timer here. Lighting was medium bright, decor was sterile, grayish white with wood tones, minimalistic style. You are seated in a very open setting. Any table in any part of the room if they were above speaking level, echos throughout the room. Dress code is recommended as casual business, but most people are below casual dress, and loud. Only thing missing here for this type of place are the multi TV screens. Food attempted to be upscale, many items were actually enjoyable, but main entrees were average plus for their price, but service was good. Perhaps this place is good for a quick gathering, similar to a sushi restaurant type of gathering, but for an intimate date night place, I'll look elsewhere.

La Margarita is currently closed so you must go to the other side of the complex to a different location!
