It was a cafeteria style with lunch specials to pick! I opted for the cornmeal fried fish with collard greens, Southern style!

Always stop by for sweets. Been getting food from here for years at the Hendricks Ave location but it's closed now. The pound cake is to die for. So fresh and good.

I give it a 4 because the banana pudding was terrible and the staff bragged it was the best. There was like mostly wafers and the bananas were not over ripe plus no cool whip on top Plus the pudding never sat up and it tasted like there was a smoky flavor that was not good. The baked chicken was heavy on black pepper which was great, collards great, Mac and cheese a little on the oily side, black eyed peas great. Corn bread divine. Great prices and quick service cafeteria style.

On this past Sunday I ordered baked chicken gravy yellow rice do you need more yellow rice we will give it to me double seafood dressing and side of macaroni and cheese. There's no complaints other than my mac & cheese being crunchy...... I believe I was chewing on egg shells. I hope I was chewing on eggshells but I couldn't identify however my mac & cheese was crunchy and I will complain about the lack of good customer service on the front line. Other than the tall guy he nice and can sing. Other than that the cashier was cool and calm for a busy evening. All in all, I'll be back in the near future. Considering the lack of good soul food joints on any side of town. It has been my third time eating there. The smothered pork chop was dry and gravy tasted very bland. That dressing was bussin bussin!! The cornbread always right. The pineapple punch had that gross refrigerator taste to it. That's probably the most I have to say. Thanks.

Ordered here on a whim and it was fantastic. Huge portions of delicious food. We got the fish (amazingly seasoned and a good amount) and the plate of sides, of which we chose rice, greens and Mac and cheese. Everything was amazing and we can't wait to order again.

I usually have a great experience but yesterday I ordered from Uber eats and was really disappointed. I ordered the 2 piece pork chop smothered with greens and yams & added 2 beans for my mom who wasn’t feeling too great. I also added a orange pineapple honey dripper(I got a cup of juice)because these pregnancy cravings are real. Now I’m going to say maybe because I ordered before you closed is why my order was botched. I didn’t get yams but Mac and cheese instead. The gravy was obviously old and the pork chops were too. Y’all broke a pregnant women’s heart yesterday. I’ve visited , done catering and ordered third party from your establishment and have always been satisfied but yall drop the ball on my order yesterday. I’ll be back because I love the food but hopefully my next experience makes up for this one.
