My husband and I have been here several times. We had a date night on last night and hadn't been in about a year. The food was not as good as it used to be. We had the empanadas as an appetizer and the buttermilk chicken which is our favorite. Both of the items were not good at all. I almost sent my chicken back but I didn't feel like complaining. The chicken was hot but the corn and mashed potatoes that come with it were cold. The chicken didn't taste like their usual buttermilk chicken. It tasted like they definitely cut some corners. The taste was off. The best part of the meal were the drinks and that's sad. The server was nice though so that was a plus. Overall based on the food quality we probably won't be back.

Was in Jacksonville for the holidays this year, fun in the sun is an understatement. As usual I had to stop by and do a review so here we go. Bahama Breeze was huge, a lot of space inside. There was also outside seating available, I was suprised at how many people were out for Christmas Eve but it wasn't full/busy. There were bars both inside and outside that one could choose from, the outside bar was more of a sports bar vibe with TVs to watch sporting events. Service was decent, I have to be honest and say when I got seated I think they forgot about me. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come and speak to me. It happens, I was kind of hidden in a corner so I don't want to make it a huge thing. My waitress was kind and she got my order out to me quickly after she acknowledged my existence. I got some of my food to-go at the end of my stay and she added more to it before I left, which is always appreciated. Food was good, I wasn't too thrilled with the flavors of the food. I did not hear anything about the establishment so I came in blind so I was open minded about the experience. A Caribbean place in Jacksonville right? Who knew? Lol! My drink was amazing. I had the King Carnival, highly recommended. One thing I will say is all the food I had was extremely filling, I started with the Chicken Tostones and that almost took me out! Great portions, but again it was lacking in the flavor department. Directly after I had the stuffed plantain bowl, I loved the sound of it on the menu: caramelized sweet plantain, yellow rice, ground beef, alllllllllll the goods. When I had it all together it was just......ok. Again no expectations but I was hoping to get more bang for my buck. I would love to go back and give it another try soon.

We went there on Saturday with a reservation. They took 30 minutes to get our table ready and when we sit down nobody came to get our order. I asked one waiter and she said I am not your waiter but I can find out.. never came back. Asked the front desk for our waiter and he said he will send him/her right away but nobody came. Used to be a nice place now the service is terrible. We left.

Best happy hour in Jax, amazing service everytime.
The place and food were good. The server just didn't seem that attentive that day. My burger was not cooked to my request. She didn't check after the food was delivered. The Manager was making rounds so I asked him to handle it. The food was good once I got it as requested.

My family and I had an exceptional meal here! We had our small dog with us and they opened up the enclosed patio and turned on the heaters just for us. The service was excellent - we cannot say enough good things about the staff! Our food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We love the coconut shrimp, but the seafood paella and the jerk mahi mahi were also highlights. We were able to order a grilled chicken breast off the kids menu for our dog and they only charged us for the chicken instead of the full meal which we didn’t expect, but truly appreciated. We will definitely be back!
