The last 3 time we have been in at 1130 am they have been out of Stumps. There is a sign posted that says we will not cook stumps until they are ordered. And the person who took our orders acted like we were bothering her by placing our orders. Not a hello welcome just stood there looking at us. Been coming to big oak a long time but today was my last day. Customer service needs improvement.

Got the 20 dollar salad and was disappointed!! The meat was dry and all !!

Unfortunately, this place is a hit or miss for me. I wore braces for the past year and couldn't eat ribs. As soon as they were removed I visited my favorite place and purchased a half slab and had a wonderful conversation with the owner. My order was to go and when I got home with my order, I was impressed. The meat portions were great and tender. I ate on that order for 3 days. Today, I had another urge. However, the portions were small and cooked too hard which is hard for me to chew. I had my spouse pick up for me this time. I guess I need to get my own order to ensure it's to my satisfaction 😌

Very good food ! My co worker was eating over there and I told him bring me something back , he brought me back tenders and fries and omg it was so fresh and good !!! I work right behind them and never knew their food was that delicious!!!!!!!!

I Love barbecue and I was so disappointed with the food in this restaurant. The portion for the amount of money that was charged was ridiculous the quarter chicken leg was extremely dry. My collard greens tasted like they came out of a can and my black beans and rice barely had any beans in it and was somewhat between warm and cold. The items sitting at the table like salt shakers, barbecue sauce containers were filthy. You can tell the buildup has to have been from a long time of not being cleaned. I can go on and on, but I just wanna stop here, smh I will never return to this place again! For the sake of other customers I hope things can improve here!

My first time here, and I should’ve read the other reviews first: the garlic toast had no garlic, the collards did have pork, but they were clearly canned. I only got one side because they said the Mac and cheese is “liquidy”, not baked.

The cashier who is just this side of rude and acted as if I were a bother is actually the owner who bought this 10 years ago (he told me)…it was never great back then, but definitely way worse in all aspects.

I tried the mustard colored sauce, which tasted delicious, however, the bottle was super sticky, as if it is never wiped clean. I didn’t even touch the salt shaker because it is clear glass, but you can see the grime on the outside.

Pulled pork is always dry, the sauces ain't great, but the baked beans and greens are 5star, id go there just for the sides. This is to be expected from a catering place though.
