Bold Birds Lakewood Hot Chicken

Love both location. Chicken is so crispy. I get medium which is Hot enough for me. Then I get classic for my granddaughters. The Mac & Cheese, potato salad, and chicken salad is phenomenal.

We went for lunch today and had a wonderful experience. The lady at the register was so kind and had several suggestions. I went back up later to order a side of sauce and she had remembered my name! The food was delicious and came out in a timely manner.

I hate to leave a bad review. I called in an order. They said it would be 20 mins. I showed up to pick up my food. It was not ready. Then some came out and sat another 20 mins waiting for the rest to get done. I advised the food had been sitting out and requested a refund. The girl at the cash register said she didn’t know how to do refunds. I had to fill out a form detailing my complaint. I was told the manager would call me. I was giving them a chance to me to make it right before I left a bad review. It’s been a week and no one has contacted me. I took the cold and extremely late food home. No one has contacted me. I had high hopes for you Bold Bird. You let me down.

Update - the owner did reach out to me and explain that they are retraining the staff and it was a big mixup. The form I was given to fill out was not meant for customers to fill out but for the staff. The staff wasn’t aware of this and erroneously provided me the form.
Thanks for reaching out and making it right. Nice to know the owner stands behind her product and wants to do better. Thank you!

Monday night... Slow as molasses... Three people in the whole store. It took nearly 30 minutes to get my food (a pimento sandwich/side) and it was apparently sitting there the whole time! Abysmal service. I loved going to the other location all the time but this one needs much improvement. Highly would NOT recommend

Best chicken tenders I’ve ever had. Best ranch I’ve ever had. The tenders are MASSIVE and the potato salad is INCREDIBLE!!

This place has been my favorite chicken spot for the past few months until today. I show up to order a 1/4 White and they tell me they are out of White and Dark chicken. So what do you have to eat at a chicken place?!?! How do you not have the product you sell in stock? What a joke.

Spent $70 on food today, not sure what happened this time but literally every piece of chicken tastes like fish. Not sure if someone had a taste for it and didn’t change the oil. They don’t even sell fish. Wife said before she saw it she thought I ordered fish from somewhere. She says it smells like fish. Eat at the Edgewood locale often and love it. But this experience was pure trash.

Great Chicken tendies. I got the medium and Mac and cheese and I loved it, pretty dang close to Nashville hot chicken. Will def be back. Also Ty was great!

Ty and the team here are great. Food was delicious and served quick. The heat is actually hot but doesn't overpower the flavor. The fries were made just like I like them. The BBQ sauce and sweet tea reminded me I was in the south in Jax, which is lost in some other resturants. I'll be back again.
