This location cuts their squash way too thin. My order had more breading than squash. The squash itself was mushy. It was also greasy.

I'm hoping the day I went was just an off day for this establishment. My wife and I both ordered different meats and different sides so we can try each other's items. Neither one of us were impressed by the meat. Whether the chicken, pork, or beef, each was overdone and dry. My wife's brisket was so tough, with the consistency of a Charleston Chew, that she ended up not eating it. Tragic!

Just so bad. All the meat was so dry and overcooked. Not sure how the fattiest cuts of meat could be this dry. Squash was under fried and cut so thick it was almost raw. This should not have been served to anyone and they had to have known. Complete waste of money

We were having our car serviced a short distance away so we decided to give bono's a try. My husband and I both were very hungry so we ordered the two meat platters that came with two sides each. My husband got the chicken and ribs with collard greens and baked beans. I got the brisket and turkey with the sweet potato and the side special of the day, which was potato salad.I'll start with the only serious negative, but it was negative enough to knock a whole star off my rating. My husband and I both love brisket. I mean really love it. We eat it a lot at different restaurants and we make our own. The brisket here was the worst I have ever had. It was dried out and so very tough. Good brisket can be pulled apart with a fork and is tender and moist. I could not pull this apart because the meat was so incredibly tough and extremely dry. I fought whoever was in the kitchen plating this up because you could tell it wasn't going to be good by looking at it. I had to chew it for a long long time and the flavor was okay, nice and smoky, but not good enough to make up for how dry and tough it was. On the way out I saw that they appeared to have their meats sitting in an open flame area and I just imagined that's where all the moisture got sucked out of it.On a happier note, everything else was pretty good. My husband absolutely loved the chicken. We thought our ribs and turkey were pretty good, although not the best. My sweet potato was just a normal sweet potato wrapped and baked, but it was beautifully fluffy and cooked to perfection. They were out of the usual cinnamon butter unfortunately. The potato salad was quite good, tasting almost like homemade. The potatoes were a little too hard, but the flavor was spot on. The collard greens were what you would expect from collard Greens. The baked beans had some meat in it and my husband seemed to like them just fine. The hostess was very sweet and I appreciated her service. Our waitress was good, but she asked about how we liked our food a bit too early, as I had not yet tasted the brisket. I didn't want to make a big deal about it because everything else was good. It was quite a lot of food anyway. It's a nice atmosphere and I think the value was pretty good. I would come again, but I would not order the brisket lol!

Imagine this...hungry after a long day of shopping. I'm thinking of the meaty, juicy Bono's ribs I know. It is an hour before closing; I make it with 30 minutes to spare, place my order and specify center cut. I get my order, a man come ls out from the back wearing an apron, coughs and says to someone, "Lock those damn doors quick." The female quickly shuts the to go window and is gone. I wait until I get home to open my food. I had not 1 but 2 end pieces - burnt to a crisp!!!! The other ribs are also burnt!! I have never seen Bono's ribs like this. I paid $22!!!
