I've heard about this truck for a while but finally got the chance to try them out. This review is delayed. I visited this truck in February so there may have been some changes/updates since my visit. Anywho, it was a Sunday and I wanted something tasty to eat. I saw that Fatboy Fried Rice has a Westside location. I pulled up to the parking lot (it's a tire company lot) there was room for parking & close to the truck. I waited in line to order, it wasn't to long of a wait. I was given a pager to be called once my order was up. I was skeptical when handed the pager because that usually indicates a lengthy wait time. Not the case here, a couple ordered in front of me and a woman ordered after me. We were called right around the same time to retrieve our food. I got the shirt ribs. They were packed with flavor, a bit to much of you ask me. I did add an egg to my order, that helped mellow out some of the salty flavor. I was expected great things for the rice ( I love rice, of any kind) it was just regular nothing spectacular about it, maybe it's because the meat is so strong in seasoning. The short ribs were cooked well. There was sauce given with the order as well. Again not needed because the salt/seasoning content was already on 12. I'm just glad I didn't get a dish that came with the sauce poured over it. The staff was pleasant. I would suggest getting all sauces on the side of possible.

Service was great and Friendly, greeted right away. Ordered 3 meals, bulgogi, short rib, and teriyaki chicken.. food was ready pretty quick, about 15 minutes. The short ribs were delicious! Plate was kinda plain but it was ok. And bulgogi flavors were great! Rice was undercooked and chicken teriyaki was decent, i prefer juices to be present so was missing that for me. Its a food truck so can't really rate atmosphere:) overall, decent experience.

Finally had a chance to check this spot out. The wait was between 45 - 60 minutes. They give you a pager so you do not have to stand around. I ordered the fried with teriyaki chicken and side off the beef ribs. With a can of soda, came out to over $20. Large portion of rice. No skimping on the meat either.I may have visited on an off day. It was super busy and raining. The combo I ordered was overly salty and sweet. The fried rice is more like regularly cooked rice. I hate wasting food but I was not able to get past a few bites. I really wanted this to be a hit. understand that salty and sweet may be preferable to bland.
Listen up!! The food is so delicious and flavorful! I ordered the teriyaki chicken with bulgogi and extra sweet mayo sauce. Spice level is perfect and so was the temp of the food. Sooo Yummmmy! If you're not sure about this place, this is your sign to try it!

Food was pretty good I ordered the Bolgogi fried rice. I put the sauce in the side. It took about 20 minutes to get my order. They have a buzzer to alert your order is ready.

I came here for the sisig but they were sold out. We ended up ordering the bulgogi fried rice and the short rib fried rice. The bulgogi was too heavily sauced, I couldn't really taste the meat as much as I'd like over the sweet sauces. The short rib fried rice was too salty. I'd come back to try the sisig but if that's a no as well I don't think I'd return. Service was good, and food came out in 10-15 minutes and looks as advertised. Prices are about what I'd expect. Wish I liked it more.

This place is so dang good man it is unbelievable and i will never go anywhere else in Jacksonville here to get fried rice these boys do it right and on time and fresh and hot as can be to order never once been disappointed those guys in the kitchen are down to earth people and hook you up the right way and are always super nice and always willing to laugh with you and are beyond grateful for all the support they get and you can tell the love and flavor In every bite of food they made always am leaving happy and full every visit to these guys no matter what!!!
