Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

We had a great time dining and enjoying the atmosphere of the restaurant. Lighting was dim in a relaxed manner.

So we hadn't been here in a while and went with friends last night. Everything was really great, the drinks, the food and mostly the service. After dinner we ordered coffee and dessert. They brought the dessert but never brought the coffee. We had to track down our waiter to ask about our coffee. Finally got it and credit to Firebirds since they didn't charge us for it. All in all, the food was really very good so would definitely try to go again more often.

We were there at 3:00 pm on a Friday for a quick lunch. Service was great and so was the food.

I have dined here several times and Firebirds does not disappoint. The Brunch was a great addition to Firebirds (Hipster Toast is one of my favorites). The service is great. By far my go to favorite restaurants in Jacksonville.

I've been to 3 locations, 2 of which in Delaware and this location is clearly an afterthought for the company. Poorly executed food-gritty sawdust steaks, overcooked cold grey broccoli. Firebirds is supposed to be a modern “fancy” version of a chainy steakhouse and I've had better food at the local Jax diner, and definitely better at their DE locations. I took 5 people here for a biz dinner and I don't think one person talked about the food. Also, the prices were higher than I'd experienced before, and did not reflect the quality at all. We dined at 7:30, though the plates came out as if we were there passed closing time. Zero flair or creativity, just “meat and a side” thrown onto the plates. Best part was the dinner bread. I knew I was taking a risk by choosing Firebirds over somewhere more local and of the region, and I was right, unfortunately.

This last visit was appalling. 2 salads and a burger - unreal wait for the food. The burger and fries were done first and sat there until the salads were done - 6-10 minutes. I heard them at the service area. Once delivered, the burger and fries were ice cold. The protein on the salads was cold. 2 of the meals had items missing from them and no one had enough sense to tell us the restaurantwas out.of those items. Besides that, our waitress was MIA for our entire meal. She only came out when we went to the front door and requested a manager. Thankfully, the manager took care of us, but that place was ridiculous.

My minor daughter slipped and fell at your restaurant yesterday. There was no wet floor sign, no medical attention offered.

Their cilantro-grilled chicken was an absolute melt-in-your mouth delicacy doused with cheese sauce and topped with onion rings. They have changed their menu and Parmesan crusted chicken is the next best alternative. Onion rings are another firecracker! The potato side dishes come in huge portions. The side of vegetable medley is cooked perfectly. Port mushrooms are my favorite side dish to order. They have since replaced the item with wood grilled chicken that comes with parm mash, and a bed of tomato relish, spinach and mushrooms: EPIC. Chicken pasta as well as T-bone steak are decent sized food portions. Filet mignon is usually prepared quite rare in the middle. Grilled salmon flakes beautifully. Chris our attendant was fantastic, took care of us all and kept us interested in the menu. Highly recommend the cheesecake with brûlée glaze finish.

The greeting at the door was great. Britanny was cheerful and polite. Our server was pleasant, cheerful and friendly. The server, Lara, did a excellent job of explaining the menu and helping us with our selection. She did a great job of keeping us watered, coming by to help us with anything we needed.

Steak tacos were really good. Generous portion of steak in each taco. Kids chicken tenders were delicious as well; real chicken breast, not some mashed up bits and pieces. Very tender and flavorfull.

Our server was fantastic and very attentive. She even got the crew to sign a card for our baby's first birthday and gave us a free desert. I ordered the Cajun ribeye and my wife ordered the aged ribeye. Hers was cut thin but cooked medium to her liking. However, mine was cooked more like well even though I ordered medium and was a bit dry. The Cajun butter and garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic and the crème brulle cheesecake was to die for. Over the ambiance and vibe of the restaurant was high end for the money and the service was very good!

Fantastic bread! Salads were huge and delicious. Steak was tasty. Ribs were good. Steak penne was the only one that was just ok. Everything else was fantastic and exceeded expectations.

This place will never get old to me!!! The service is always amazing, and they just never miss when it comes to food taste, vibes, and exceptional service. My most recent experience we were hosted by Chris, this guy gave us world class service with a smile. Extremely pleasant and attentive. The wings are too good to be on the “shareable” menu especially if it’s only 8 wings🫣….now 12 wings are shareable especially for almost 20$ 😅 but I digress and will pay the fee because the wings are that good but I cannot share them because there just simply aren’t enough to share 🤷🏾‍♀️ and washing it down the most delicious cocktail 🍸 🍍in the city has to be one of my most fondest moments 🤗 now the eggs…these are shareable! Very yummy 😋 but enough to share! And whoever came up with that happy hour 🍻 you’re the 🐐 and I hope life’s treating you kind🤞🏾

The burger came out luke warm and fries pretty much cold. Waiter would forget stuff he was asked for. Had to ask for refills as if he couldn't see thst you cup was low or empty. Service was horrible yesterday. Its not what I am used to.

Had a wonderful time celebrating my graduation at Firebirds! The food was excellent, and our server, Destiny, provided outstanding service. She checked on us often, was kind and attentive to our party, and had such a warm and positive spirit. Overall, it was an amazing evening!
