We’ve been coming here for the past year and the food was good, despite the pancakes being dry every time. We worked around this by drenching the pancakes in syrup. Inconvenient but still tasted good.
Recently when we came here, there were bits of what looked like tea labels in our pancakes. We picked them out because we don’t like to send back food, but it was still off putting.
Our latest time coming here, we were seated immediately but never acknowledged. No one came by to take our drink orders or acknowledge us, even though two waitresses continued walking past us and serving tables next to us. It wasn’t even busy. We would have been completely understanding had someone acknowledged us or said “we’ll be right with you.” We sat for 10 minutes before walking out. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to the food.
We’ve been to the other locations on Southside and Roosevelt and they had amazing service and food. Unfortunately probably won’t be returning to the Riverside location again.

As a fellow black apron from another Jacksonville First Watch, I was very disappointed in the service. I was sat at a table that had trash on the floor, not greeted within the 2 minute time frame, was not even greeted the First Watch way. The server pouring coffee at my table which we are not allowed to do with children at table. The server was pleasant but never checked in on us till she came and offered us a Togo box. This was not the store I thought it would be especially considering yall are supposed to be our training location.

I had the quinoa bowl which was excellent!! The most delicious flavors throughout, especially the fire roasted tomatoes!!! I could have eaten an entire bowl full the tomato’s!!! My husband had the trifecta and it was excellent as well. Laney was an excellent waitress. Sweet, friendly and efficient.
