For starters Gillis has exceptional service and all employees go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful dine in experience. The food is out of this world and some of the best i’ve had outside of NY. I have a few favorites here - The crispy chicken pita, the shawarmas- but last night I tried the NY style pastrami and it was OUTSTANDING! The best i’ve ever had. Gonna have to go back very soon for another!!!
This is our go-to place when traveling north from south Florida or back home. Many times we haven’t had hot food for 1-2 days and their delicious food is an oasis in a dessert. The service is phenomenal. Highly recommend for fellow kosher nomads.
Allow me please to tell you about this hidden gem of a restaurant in downtown Jacksonville. We've been wanting to visit for the longest and finally had the chance. There were so many options on the menu, but we had already made up our minds to try their sandwiches. Wife had roast beef and I had the Philly. She had sweet potatoes fries and I had regular fries.
