“My husband and I stopped in for lunch after a specialist appointment in the city. When you arrive, you immediately see the beautiful water, and I loved the concept of being able to park your boat right there!
We were quickly seated and helped by our waitress. I ordered the Old Town Swizzle, which was really good, but unfortunately, I’m highly allergic to mint. It’s frustrating when restaurants don’t clearly list ingredients like mint on the menu, because I feel terrible having to send something back. I ended up simply removing the mint plant and taking a Benadryl in the car afterward. Just something I think the restaurant should consider noting on the menu for guests with allergies.
For our appetizer, we ordered the Sesame Ginger Beef Tips. They were good, but unfortunately, this was one of the smallest portions we’ve encountered in all of our travels. At $21 for three tiny pieces, we felt the portion was quite small, so we would probably skip this one next time.
For my meal, I ordered the Grilled Chicken Club, and it was delicious! The portion was very generous, fresh baked bread, and I actually had enough left over for lunch the next day. The sandwich was definitely on the greasier side, so just something to be aware of.
Our waitress was attentive and friendly, but I did feel like we waited a little longer than we would have liked for a second drink. By the time someone came back around, we had already finished our food, so we ended up only having one drink. I couldn’t help but think they may have missed out on a second drink sale there!
We just got back from Key West a few weeks ago, so we had to try the pie. It was really good overall, although the bottom crust was extremely hard and almost seemed like it may have still been partially frozen.
Overall, we enjoyed our visit and really liked the location and concept. Since they’re newer, I think there are just a few little things that could be fine-tuned. We’d definitely be interested in coming back and seeing how things continue to improve!“
