OMG, Chicago pizza in a land over-glutted with NY pizza! I liked the pizza, very much just like home, the only thing it lacked was crumbled sausage, but it sure didn't lack the taste and texture, which is very distinct from any NY pizza. They did a decent job of decorating like a Chicago pub, and their phone number is even 312 area code. The only thing keeping me from frequent visits is the high price.
As a native Chicagoan, it was not what I expected even though my hopes were high having read the reviews. The pie needed way more cheese. The sauce was too sweet. The crust was OK. We were served water straight from the tap which tasted horrible. No bueno!
Great Chicago experience. I was in town visiting friends and found out about this place. Usually on my visits I try to find a place to watch a Bears game and it comes down to a chain restaurant with no audio. They had the Bears game with a great Chicago style pizza. Made a return for Thursday night football and got the beef with giardiniera . If you are from Chicago and in the area, definitely worth the stop.
