They're definitely closed and going by the owner responses to the reviews it's totes understandable. Went once and it wasn't great. Tried to go and it's abandoned. Springs 2min away is good.

Of the three Springfield-area breweries, Hyperion is definitely seems to be brewing the best beer, which is like... 90% of what you're there for. We had the Peanut Butter Porter and Strawberry Mustache Sour. Drink them together and it's like a PB&J. But in seriousness, both were delicious, flavor-packed examples of their respective styles.My wife enjoyed the puzzle table as well. If we didn't have elsewhere to be she'd have probably stayed all day.

I recently heard this place was closing. I'm not surprised at all. I went there once and didn't feel welcome. Your business will never do as well as it should when you lack welcoming the diversity that Jacksonville has.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hyperion Brewing Company and I can’t recommend hosting an event here enough. We have stopped in on multiple occasions for their good vibes and great beers - but having them host our wedding was one of the best decisions we made while planning. We worked with Aprill early on and she helped us figure out how to make the day we envisioned in our heads into a reality. We had no idea what to expect, honestly - but she was a huge help and really communicated with us throughout the entire process and helped it all come to life. Jay and their mom (I’m so sorry I’m bad at names) were honestly so helpful the day of. Everything ran so much smoother than we could have ever imagined thanks to all of their support. We had our ceremony in the beer garden and the reception throughout both indoor and outdoor of the brewery. We brought out family, friends, kids, AND DOGS, and everyone had a great time! They had games setup and honestly something for everyone to enjoy. Working with them took a huge weight off our shoulders and their patience with us while we navigated wedding planning and what we wanted is unmatched. Their kindness and warmth made the night feel like we were having an intimate gathering with close pals at a family member’s house but with the benefits of good beer and great air conditioning. (Seriously, people were in and out all night and it still felt nice inside??) Also, because I know it’s important - the bathrooms were always clean. Everything was always clean and comfortable and just perfect.

Fun atmosphere ! The back patio is great! Tried the Selene sunrise which is a blend of the Selene citrine (blood orange blonde) and ace pineapple cider! Beautiful color and the right amount of sweet with the pineapple and orange!
