This was our first experience at Mambos and it was so good! We started with the Mambo platter which was fantastic, especially the empanadas! I had the Cuban sandwich and my husband chose the Mambo steak sandwich. Make sure to order the sweet plantains, a dessert in and of itself! Cafe con leche so delicious! Our waitress was very sweet. My only problem with the restaurant is that there isn’t one in Port Orange where I live. Next time I’m at Mayo, I’ll stop in again!

We had Mambos cater a small event last weekend, and they were fantastic! Their team was on time and set up quickly, and the food AMAZING! The ropa vieja and the plantains were especially big hits. The serving sizes were generous as well. Would happily place a catering order with them again!

The best Cuban that I've had in Jacksonville so far. So much to eat there. My favs are their empanadas (beef and guava), any chicken dish (chicharron de pollo, pollo de oro and straight up arroz con pollo. boom!), and steak wise some chusasco ala parilla. Some flan and tres leches for dessert and you are so good! If you go for lunch, their cuban coffee is so good too!

I am a connoisseur of fine Cuban food across Florida and by far this is the most authentic best tasting food on the planet earth. Service was exceptional with her amazing waitress Annabel, who took great care of us. The owner was polite as well, and all of the staff were friendly and working together efficiently for great service! I will definitely be back every time I come to town for the mayo clinic. You cannot find any better Cuban food on the planet!!

First time going here but definitely will be coming back! Service was excellent; We had refills the moment we needed them. I ordered the Cuban sandwich which was delicious and the sandwich size was larger than expected. The one stand out item surprisingly was their french fries! Everyone in our party ordered french fries and we all were shocked at how amazing they were. Perfectly seasoned, very crispy on the outside but nice and soft on the inside.Wonderful experience overall and can't wait to go back!

Steamed white rice? Really? What a difference in taste. Don't they own a Caldero? I can lend them one of mine. Everything else was good.

I've had Cuban sandwiches before, but only in California. This was leagues better than any Cuban I've ever had and the bread was out of control. Tostones were run of the mill, and they forgot to give me the Mambo sauce, but the sandwich made up for it.

Our family stayed at one of the hotels across Beach Blvd. from Mambos and walked over for a lunch with local flavor. The Cuban and steak sandwiches were amazing, with generous portions!

This place offers the ultimate Cuban experience in Jax! ?The atmosphere is lively, the decor is beautiful, and the customer service is top-notch. The food exceeded all my expectations. The beef and guava empanadas were a delightful way to start the meal—crispy pastry filled with deliciousness. The chicken was tender and flavorful, falling off the bone and finger-lickin' good! The rice, plantains, yucca, and beans were perfect sides for the picadillo and lechon asado (loved the onion topping!). The desserts, knowing they're made in-house every morning, made them even more special. Everything surpassed my expectations.Thank you for providing an authentic Cuban experience!?

I recently had a disappointing experience at Mambo's Restaurant, where I ordered the Vaca Frita with black beans, sweet fried plantains, and a mango juice. Unfortunately, the meal failed to meet expectations in almost every aspect. The main issue was the freshness of the food; the meat was notably cold and had the unmistakable taste of being left out for too long, suggesting it wasn't prepared fresh for my order. Moreover, the onions in the dish had a rotten flavor that was quite off-putting, further diminishing the overall taste and experience. The side of sweet fried plantains, which I was looking forward to, also arrived cold, lacking the warmth and crispiness you'd expect from freshly prepared plantains. This lack of attention to serving temperature significantly impacted the enjoyment of my meal. On a positive note, the server was attentive and noticed my dissatisfaction, offering to waive the charge for my meal. While I appreciated this gesture and it speaks to their customer service, I opted to pay because I do not believe in receiving a meal for free, despite the quality. However, based on the quality of the food I received, I cannot recommend Mambo's Restaurant. It was an underwhelming experience that left much to be desired, especially from a place that has the potential to offer vibrant and delicious Cuban cuisine.
