I came here to have a mommy son breakfast with my 5 year old son who is autistic. Patience took great care of us and although I didn’t get the host/bussers name, he was very kind and pleasant as well. All was good until we were leaving and my son got a few feet ahead of me, as I was collecting our things. And cut a waitress off who proceeded to roll her eyes at my autistic 5 year old and didn’t say a word when I apologized. It’s small things like that that can really ruin...
I am a dine-in kinda gal. I meet with a friend at the near Highway 17( Jacksonville, FL). Metro is a busy, bustling wide open diner. The menu is more like home cooking rather than a hoity-toity bill of fare. The meatloaf is great and the mashed taters and gravy is as good as grandma’s (sorry, granny) …. Generous portions so come hungry or don’t be shy about asking for a to-go. Beer and wine are also available. A busy, bustling tasty spot!

Chicken and waffles. They said theyre known for it. I understand. The fried chicken had good seasoning and was moist. The waffles were crispy on the outside and had strawberry butter on them. They have some magic sipping sauce for the chicken that was very good.

Attentive service, decent prices, good experience

Kid-friendliness: Seemed kid friendly
