This was my second visit to this place. The first time I had the pho, and today I tried the chicken stir-fry with vegetables.
The pho is excellent, with deep, rich spice flavors and a subtle sweetness that gives the broth real character. The chicken stir-fry came with a generous portion of chicken, and the meat was exceptionally juicy and tender.
The food is clearly the strong point here. That said, the service could be more attentive, and the restroom could use better upkeep.
Overall, the food quality is solid and absolutely recommendable. I’ll definitely come back for the stir-fry.

I’ve been a regular customer here and usually come specifically for their coconut water. The last several visits they’ve been out, which happens, but today was especially frustrating. I called ahead to confirm availability before coming, was told they didn’t have it once I arrived, and when I asked for a moment to decide on another drink, staff were openly talking and laughing about me within earshot. That felt really unprofessional and uncomfortable. Customer service matters, especially when someone takes the time to call ahead.

One of the tastiest pho spots you’ll find in Jacksonville: I’ve been coming to Pho Today for over 10 years, and the flavor consistently holds its own against most pho spots in Jax (just my opinion). Is it a perfect 5/5? No — but if Yelp or Google let me choose 4.5 stars, that’s exactly where this would land.
If you’re debating between a small vs. regular or large bowl of pho: never order the small. You’ll get limited protein and mostly broth and noods. Trust me — go regular or large. Worst case, you take leftovers home. Best case, you get the added entertainment of trying to pour that wide, overflowing bowl into one of those tall, skinny to-go containers without spilling a drop. Extra points if you are 100% successful!
I usually order at least one appetizer per visit, and everything I’ve tried has been delicious and reasonably priced. Their frozen boba teas are solid — if I’m choosing between iced or frozen, Taro and Thai tea are my go-tos. And don’t sleep on the homemade lemonade. No free refills, but it’s absolutely worth it.
The fried rice with Vietnamese sausage is another favorite of mine. I’ll either share it or order it alongside my pho and take the rest home. The sausage adds a natural saltiness and depth of flavor that really makes the dish.
So why not 5 stars? Customer service when dining in could be better timed and a smidge more friendly. Portion consistency between dine-in and to-go orders is hit or miss almost half the time. And while nothing is deal-breaking, a few minor cleanliness details on the table accessories could use more attention (I’ll include a labeled photo for reference).
That said, this is still one of my go-to pho spots in Jacksonville and has been for over a decade. If you’re here for flavor first and comfort food that hits the spot, Pho Today is absolutely worth a visit.

I've been coming to this location for a few years. Every single time is amazing. The Pho broth is super clean and fresh, on the sweet side like I like, and they are never shy with the proteins and toppings! I highly recommend ordering Kim's Special for your appetizer. A huge platter of perfectly charred short ribs, marinated pork, and fried fare like dumplings and shrimp rolls! It comes with 3 sauces: sweet chili, fish sauce, and a soy variation. This dish is perfect on its own with a side of steamy white rice or for sharing! I almost always finish with a delicious Thai tea, a decadently sweet and creamy treat after such a hearty meal, they do offer boba, as well as other dessert options. 💕 Thank you so much Pho Today! The food was excellent, but the service was terrible. We were never given an itemized bill—just a POS machine shoved at our table. The server stood over us, pressuring us to choose the 20% tip option. The smaller tip choices were barely visible, making it feel forced.
Other restaurants give customers a printed check and receipt so you can clearly write your own tip. Here it felt rushed, pushy, and unfair. If you want 20% tips, provide service that earns it.
The amount of noodles you get in an XL pho is the same as a regular. You're paying for more soup lol. Otherwise, the pho is decent.
Service: -3/5 Consistently bad service. I'm convinced that if you didn't call attention to yourself at least 6x, you can literally sit there for an entire hour with a menu in front of you without a waiter or waitress coming to check to see if you ordered food even once.
