We encountered Planta Pura at Atlantic Beach Farmer’s Market today. I ordered an apple empanada & my wife ordered a black bean empanada. Both were fantastic, but I think the black bean empanada is going to be a new staple for me when we visit the market.Neither of us are vegan or even vegetarian. In fact we got some of the coconut chickpea curry to-go to put my grilled chicken on it this evening (Which was also delicious by itself and with my chicken). I will be looking forward to retuning for a hand made black bean empanada (and to try new items) on Sunday’s moving forward.Dietary restrictions: It wasn’t an issue with any of the dishes we ordered, but she was in tune enough to call out, without my asking, that one of the dishes contained cashews. I happen to have an allergy to cashews, but I am always the one that has to ask. Very rarely are people aware enough to mention their presence without being prompted. 5-stars for their honest interest in healthful eating.

Oh my goodness, can we just take a moment to fawn over those incredible empanadas? They were seriously delicious they did not disappoint! Picture this: a burst of flavors from the black bean filling and a mouth-watering taste of cilantro seitan. I added some hot sauce and that brought it to the next level! I can't even find the words to accurately describe how unbelievably amazing that food was. It was like a party in my mouth! Seriously, if you haven't tried them yet and are vegan, you absolutely must. Your taste buds will thank you for this divine culinary experience! On Sundays they are between keg and dart bar.

Great food! I've never had a problem coming here. The portions are ENORMOUS, specifically for the wraps. Sure the prices are pretty high, but that's everywhere these days. Let's do better at building our local businesses up and not tearing them down! I love to see more small businesses opening up in Jacksonville, especially vegan ones, we've lost so many in the past few years. The buss up shot is delicious. These flavors are definitely going to cater more to fellow Caribbean customers and I think they do a great job at veganizing our favorite cultural dishes. Small building with fast service and never had a problem waiting. Give them a try!

Planta Pura Vegan Eats is a very Special Company to me. Each meal is prepped with love and grace. The quality of the food and the presentation alone is absolutely amazing. I truly enjoy the flavor and taste of each meal. I feel very satisfied when I am eating, and I don’t feel stuffed. I know that I am eating for a healthier lifestyle. The nutritional information is given to inform you of what you are eating . I can not express enough how exciting I feel knowing that I am making healthy food choices.

Definitely not worth the money and waaaaaay overpriced. Food was bland and one dish missing items it said it had. I've had better vegetarian or vegan Caribbean style or Indian food elsewhere. Either around the same price or cheaper. 1 out of 5 all around. I don't plan on returning all the food was very forgettable. I've made better at home too. This place subpar flavor wise at best. Which is crazy because Caribbean food is very flavorful. I'm sure even if you tried to make it bland it would be hard. That's probably why it was ready so fast it took well under 10 minutes from time of order.

This is the BEST food I've had in Jax. Rather you're a vegan or not (and I am not), it's literally mind-blowing! My favorite dish in the world is oxtails. Well, today I had not-tails (made with shrooms) from Ital Vegan that tastes way better than any meat oxtails I've had. I can't believe I even said that, but it's true! Food so good, I ordered again 4 hours later. I'm having the curry with a side of roti for dinner.
