Came to this place based on the name- love seafood ? and the reviews. It's not your usual 'restaurant' flow, so the name fits. (Seat yourself and order at the counter). The location area is nice. The restaurant decor is cute and the staff was kind. The prices are reasonable, and we received a good portion of food. The food was okay: it could've been hotter & I question the real crab meat for the stuffed flounder; I felt like it was a mixture of imitation. Nonetheless, I would return.

Food took a long time to come out while getting lunch with my co workers.. everybody food came out & they ate as I sat and waited. All to be given warm/cold Mac and cheese (nasty) beans and rice when I ordered pilaf rice (I don't even eat or like beans)!and was told in a snobby way...we don't have pilaf rice any more.... SO WHY IS IT IN THE MENU & WHY WAS IN NOT TOLD THAT WHEN I ORDERED!?? smh Due to how long my lunch break is and how long it took my food to come to ME. I had no time to replace my order which was all wrong.. my order:;Fried stuff flounder, Mac n chz and pilaf rice. I got: Baked stuff flounder(which was more chz and "stuffing"than fish) warm/cold Mac n chz and beans with rice.. Will Not Be Back!

Went for lunch with my coworkers, I placed my order of stuffed flounder fried, Mac n chz and pilaf rice. Welp while everybody else's food came out, they ate...mine took what seems like forever. Finally my food comes and was I was given white rice w/ beans...they looked like pork and beans. Baked stuffed flounder. I called the waitress over where I was told they don't have pilaf rice just rice and beans.
Welp I wish that was told to me ahead of time. (The menu should be updated or told at the time of ordering)
Mac and cheese was not hot but warmish and not good but edible.
By me being with my co workers and lunch almost over as it took so long everybody else was about done eating at this point. I switched the rice for grits as I knew that wouldn't take long.
The food overall was just not what I expected.

Great place for a quick bite at lunch.

Great food and service to your face BUT obviously they hate getting business for delivery through Uber eats .. so do not order from them for delivery unless you go in person and place your to go order yourself and leave with it yourself. Sooo what they need to do is just not do business with no delivery services period cause they obviously hate it and treat their customers like crap . They will make you wait an hour and then say oops we too busy for you . Well they just lost my average 300.00 a month if not more than that on other occasions. You call to talk with them about it and you get a click hung up on. I will never give them my business NO More. . They keep going like this all they going to do is continue to lose business and with that treatment they deserve it !!! Un believable specially with the amount of business I and my family have gave them . No no more now . As I speak trying a different sea food place now . Will let yall know soon who to use with BETTER treatment and GREAT seafood !!
With the treatment I got they do not deserve one star they deserve 0 but apparently I have to give one star just to let yall know you don’t deserve this kind of treatment when your spending your money
And you don’t want to cook . Specially seafood they used to be good all the way around now they are nothing but nasty to their customers.

Absolutely will be back! Had the red fish and shrimp and it was more than enough!!

Ordered GrubHub to our hotel. The 1st place we ordered from canceled our order because they were out of one item we ordered. I’m so glad they did because that’s when we ordered from Seafood Island Bar & Grille.
When we placed our order there it was just a few minutes and a very nice gentleman called and told us they were out of oysters and he named off the other options he had. Just like that our order was corrected and being prepared.
We received our order within the time we asked for. It was fresh, hot and so delicious. The food and service were so good, we ordered from them the 2nd night we were there. No problems with being out of anything and again the food was hot and delicious.
If you’re in Jacksonville and need a great place to get seafood from…we highly recommend Seafood Island Bar & Grille.

The food was great, raw oysters very fresh and the seafood plater was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Sat at the bar and the service could have been better. Bartender was more pre-occupied with with other employees than talking to customers.
