Reviewed SENYAI Thai Street Food & Noodle Bar on 6/12/26:
Items ordered:
1. Chicken satay $11
2. Plain Roti $6
3. Crispy Bok Choy $7
4. Som Rum $12 (spicy papaya salad with black fermented crabs - to go)
5. Gui Tiaw Ped $26 (crispy fried duck breast in sweet and savory noodle soup with egg noodle)
6. Pad Ka Prao $20 (stir fry seafood dish)
7. Kang Dang $19 (spicy red curry dish)
8. Roti Crepe $12
9. Mango sticky rice $14 (to go)
Note: The price is on the pricey end due to the upscale location being near the Riverwalk as my friend said.
1. Of all the items I ordered, I recommend trying their crispy bok choy appetizer. I cook and grow many bok choy, and would never have ordered this dish but I did only because I was curious how crispy bok choy would taste like. It's crispy like chips and the sweet and savory seasoning they put on was addicting! I would definitely order that every time I come back here.
2. I recommend trying their Gui Tiaw Ped, crispy fried duck breast in a savory herbal broth with egg noodle. (We have several selections for noodles but for any Asian duck noodle soup, the texture and taste of egg noodle is always my preference.) Duck meat was tender.
I will try to cook the other dishes at home myself to save the money. Now I am determined to learn how to cook crispy bok choy. Chef, may you please tell me what kind of seasoning you are using for the bok choy if you read my review? I live too far to drive two hours to order this crispy bok choy.
Had the chance to try this place while in town and it was a really good experience. I had the Gui Tew Ped; the duck was crispy, the broth was flavorful and delicious however i did drop a star due to the noodles clumped together a bit at the bottom. The dish wasn't ruined but made eating it a little difficult. Also got the Gyoza and Roti for an app and it was cooked perfectly. I would gladly recommend it to everyone.

We looked at google reviews and saw the high rating to this restaurant. We had the Tom Kha, Chefs Special ( a fried crab with onions and mint(?)). Dont get the Tom Kha. It is bland and watery not rich how its supposed be. The Chef's special was good but not great. The staff was not friendly. They were just going through the motions. We were the first ones there so maybe too early for them.
Ill give it another try but not for a while.

We tried this place because it was a Google gem. Unfortunately, the gem was not geming today... food was very expensive. I spent $67 on about 3 or 4 items. It was not flavorful, especially the chick noodle broth & the pad thai wasn't up to par. They had no ice available so the water was room temperature. I decided to get thai ice tea but you would think they'd give you a little bit more tea but bc there was no ice, the drink was not a full size portion...I probably wouldn't go here again, the service was very nice though.
Nice casual place mellow friendly atmosphere. Thai dishes here that haven't find elsewhere from Orlando to Jacksonville.

I got food to go, asking for vegetarian sauce on the Yum Woonsen which was dry, and not so flavorful. The fried tofu was soaked in grease!
The Tom Kha soup was very good!
The spring rolls were tough and doughy, not good at all - seemed like they were from a box in the freezer section.

Hands down the best and most authentic Thai food I’ve had in a long time. The Pad Woon Sen is my absolute favorite — the spice level is incredible and the Thai flavors are so rich and authentic. The last time I had Thai food this good was in Bangkok ☺

My boyfriend and I were walking around 5 points while waiting for our table at another Asian street food spot down the street when we decided to step into Senyai instead. We were greeted with excitement from the girl behind the bar who ended up being our server for the night, Noina. She was so sweet, funny and attentive. Everything we ate was delicious, from appetizers to entrees, and especially the mango sticky rice for dessert that Noina recommended. We will be back again soon! Thanks for everything!!

The food here is great, especially the bok choi. Another underrated Jax gem. There might be better Thai food on this side of the river, but I haven't had it. If you go, get some apps (be adventurous) and a few curries. Or just ask the waitstaff what's good.

I am amazed at the rave reviews for this place. I have been here 3 times. After the first was so disappointing I had never planned to return. But I came to an event and the food was OK so I decided maybe the third time was the charm.
We were the only diners in the place. The music was so loud we couldn’t really talk and they refused to turn it down. The pad Thai was tasteless and the tofu unseasoned. The Massaman curry was actually a soup that was overwhelmed with cinnamon.
The waitress acted like she would rather be anywhere else. Will I try again? Hard no.

I tried a number of the dishes as I love love love Thai cuisine had basil fried rice, spring rolls, dumplings and the duck and was disappointed in the duck as it was dry and chalky, the sauce was not a good balance of sour and sweet, the spring rolls were all wrap/roll with little to no filling. However the dumplings and sauce were awesome!
