This soul food spot was so good! Everything was seasoned to perfection! The cabbage was delicious. The chicken was delicious! Even the red velvet cake I didn’t take a picture of it, but that was good too! The lady at the counter was super nice! The portions were great! Will be coming back again to try more options! Way better than the casasst ave location! very much night and day! I give this Location 4.5 out of five!

I've read great reviews and all I can say is every thing they say is true. If you have questions about what kind of restaurant it is, it's all in the name, this is not bbq. It's food your grandma made and I want more. I didn't rate the other 2 because I ordered through grub hub and it sucked.

We’re visiting from Chocolate City (Washington, D.C.) and while passing through Jacksonville, we intentionally searched for Black-owned restaurants to support. This establishment was one of the first to come up.

When we arrived, we noticed that most of the front-of-house staff—including the cashier and a woman who identified herself as one of the owners—appeared to be of European descent. The only Black staff member we saw was working in the kitchen. While...
