I totally agree with M. Kyle's review about there being other ways to alert your customers you are closed besides a sign on the door, I also agree that this has happened to me before as well. But this is the location on Kerle St. , just want to make that known.. Shut Em Down Authentic Southern Restaurant is the real deal when it comes to soul food. Everything was amazing, but the smothered pork chops truly stood out—they took me straight back to being in my grandmother’s kitchen. The flavors are rich, comforting, and made with love. This spot is an absolute must-visit every time I’m in Jacksonville. Highly recommend!

I’m so impressed with this soul food! Absolutely the BEST soul food I’ve ever had. And the fried chicken....WOW! So happy to have this restaurant on the west side.
