“This charming soul food and vegan restaurant has creative cuisine to satisfy carnivores like me as well as my vegan daughter. (Can't wait to bring her.) The decor is nice, the sound system is perfect, and the whole place, including the restroom, is wonderfully clean. They are open for breakfast from 8 till noon, and have modestly priced, tasty lunch specials. Dinners are delicious and reasonable, too.“

“Third time is a charm. I didn't enjoy my first 2 visits to Sweet Mamas but I wanted soul food and didn't want to cook Sunday, and Soul Food Bistro was too busy. I loved my entire meal this go round. Considering it's cloer to my house, I'll definitely be back.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Annie Ru’s restaurant, and I can honestly say it was a truly special experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warmth and welcoming atmosphere that reminded me so much of my grandmother Carrie’s home in Alabama. The soul food was absolutely divine, bringing back cherished memories of family gatherings and home-cooked meals. Every bite was full of love, just like the dishes my grandmother used to make.
The atmosphere was nothing short of heaven-sent, and it felt like a place where you could truly relax and enjoy your meal in peace. CJ, the owner's son, went above and beyond to make sure every customer felt at home. His humble and compassionate nature was evident in the way he checked on everyone, ensuring we had everything we needed.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that exudes the kind of love and anointing that Annie Ru’s does—from the moment you step through the door, you can feel it. I will absolutely be returning again and again. May God continue to watch over you all and bless your beautiful business.“

“If I could they would get 10☆!!!! Purchased the rib and wing combo with the sweet heat sauce.... MAGNIFICENT! I didn't even make it in the door before my wife was eating wings out of my plate. Portion was enough to make me full and have enough for lunch the next day..... only complaint is..... I wanted more mac and cheese!!“

“First off, I want to thank the lovely woman at the counter for being patient with me. I had the cury goat with yellow rice and fried Plantains. The rice was good, and the Plantains were delicious. The curry was exceptional. The meat was tender and had so much flavor. I travel for work, and if I ever find myself in Jacksonville again, I will find a way to visit Sunrise again. I'll get the ox tail curry whenever that happens. This should be a food stop for anyone in Jacksonville or those visiting. Also recommend the in-house Sorrel drink they have. 10/10 delicious beverage to have with any meal here.“
