I had a very uncomfortable experience at this location. I was finishing my purchase, putting my change and gift card into my bag, and politely saying goodbye to the cashier when another employee abruptly interrupted and said, āSorry, weāre closed.ā
I was already checked out and actively moving toward exiting the store. There was no reason to interrupt me mid-sentence or speak to me that way. It came across as unnecessarily rude and dismissive.
Being told āweāre closedā while youāre literally ending a transaction and about to leave the store is not appropriate customer service. Because of this interaction, I will not be returning to this location. When I got inside my car and checked the time it said 9:02 pm.

Its always something with this location. Either they're on strike, causing the store to close for days a time ---- or today when I come up, they're in-store cafe is closed, after which I only found out because they're mobile ordering system is deactivated. There is no consistency at this location in terms of their availability. The staff is nice , but maybe poor management in terms of why this particular cafe always has some issues?

I used to work at Starbucks years ago so I am very understanding when it comes to a lot of stuff. When I worked at Starbucks this location had a bad reputation for never making drinks right and now years later I happen to live right by this location so itās super convenient to hit it on my way going anywhere. To this day EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO they never make my drink right. I start ordering it how it comes to make it really simple for them and still they wonāt even shake the refreshers which is a very basic task PER STARBUCKS POLICY. It takes a lot to make me write a bad review but I am so frustrated I have bagged and begged this location to simply shake my drink per the recipe and still every time they donāt do it. I have gone to another location right down the road to have it fixed and even they told me years later that location still has a bad reputation of not making drinks right. Itās really unfortunate and honestly unacceptable. You can clearly tell if itās been shaken or not bc if it has there is visible bubbles. Today they tried to hand it to me completely still and flat and I asked if she could shake it. She had the audacity to swirl it in her hand right inside the window and try and hand it back. I had to specify no can you shake it in the shaker per the recipe. And with an attitude they finally did it. Itās a constant battle. Itās so frustrating I could pull my hair out. Iām paying $5-$7 for a drink the LEAST THEY COULD DO IS MAKE IT HOW STARBUCKS TELLS THEM TOO. Iām literally not even ordering any accommodations just a basic how it comes drink.

Today, I received one of the best servings of a matcha latte I have ever gotten from this Starbucks. It was so beautiful, I just couldnāt keep this soul healing experience to myself. This is my go-to Starbucks and I get a matcha latte 95% of the time.
The matcha lattes are usually very milky though and I donāt really taste a lot of matcha, but today, the lovely lady who made my drink was generous with the matcha powder when making my drinks, and after just looking at it I knew my life was about to change. I took my first sip, and I had a symphonic flashback of all my memories Iāve witnessed so far like that scene from Ratatouille.
Starbucks San Jose, please keep making your matcha lattes like this. After Iāve had this one, I canāt go back. I called the store when I got home to praise them for crafting this therapeutic drink for my tastebuds.
The one who answered was coincidentally the one who made my drink as she asked if I had gotten the egg pesto sandwich, which I did, but lied that I didn't, and I am sorry for being untruthful. If she is seeing this, know that you are #goated. I am #thankful.
This matcha, the service, and the egg pesto is a 5/5, especially the service. 5/5 everyday, wonderful staff. I give it a 4 as I wish that your matcha lattes would have a little more matcha like the one today. All the time. Forever.

I walk in they know me name they all say hello, they just make you feel good...yea someday you get a off coffee and you tell them they fix it with no complaints, no attitude! It's a very nice feeling when you go somewhere and they know you! Best starbs in Jax for sure!!!

I go here all the time with my husky and get him a pup cup and get myself a caramel ribbon crunch frap. The staff is always lovely, fast, and they don't mess up orders. Many times the staff has been super nice, I've had someone in front of me pay for my order one time, the whole place is just amazing. ā„ļø
