We had a great experience here. The place was clean. The staff were very cool and were super patient with us as we were ordering here for the first time. They gave some excellent recommendations. It was a really nice vibe and we enjoyed everything we ordered.

Horrible customer service. The guy at the front desk was so rude. He kept telling the customers his issues like “it’s only two of us here and there’s people waiting on the phone to order.” Why is that our problem, just serve us with a smile. He was so rude to my husband. He was thirsty and we knew we would be waiting a while and he asked for his drink that we paid for and he told him no, you have to wait til you get your meal, we have too much to do. I couldn’t believe it. I got a refund. He was kinder giving the refund than he was taking the order. The music playing was a vibe. I really wanted to try the food and dine in. Unfortunately, customer service is important to me.

We visited for the first time and truly enjoyed the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We were laughing the whole time while waiting for our food, which made the experience even better.

The food was delicious and the presentation was great. I had the sweet and tangy wings with mac and cheese and collard greens, and my husband had the smothered wings with rice, mac and cheese, and collard greens. Everything was full of flavor and cooked with care. The pineapple lemonade was cold, refreshing, and delicious, and the R&B music playing in the background was the perfect touch.

I didn’t get the staff member’s name, but she is my Tweety twin — she’ll know exactly who I am when she reads this review! Thank you for the great food, good laughs, and excellent customer service. We will definitely be back!

We were in town and really wanted some good food. We found this place and decided to stop by. The food was delicious and the people were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area and don’t want fast food.

Listen... don't sleep on Sweet Mama's!

We spent the day soaking up the history on Amelia Island and came looking for some real food. Funny thing is, two folks at a local museum had never even heard of this spot. Their loss!

I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and collard greens. My wife got the smothered turkey wings with yellow rice and collards. And that pineapple lemonade? Whew... it hit!

Everything came out hot, fresh, seasoned just right, and the portions were on point. Add in the old school and new school R&B playing in the background, plus a staff that treats you like family, and you've got a whole vibe.

Some places get all the hype. Sweet Mama's just lets the food do the talking. Trust me... pull up hungry.

If you're looking for good home cooked food, this is the place to be! The smothered porkchops are great!

I had a meatloaf plate with Mac n cheese & collards as my two sides and I overalled really enjoyed it everything was well seasoned and you can tell the food was made with care … the Mac n cheese especially was very delicious the yellow rice cooked perfectly and the meatloaf itself tasted great , the only thing I would mention is that the meatloaf was a little cold toward the middle it could’ve been been hotter especially since I ended up dining in instead of taking Togo . Other than thattt the atmosphere was great! The music was nice the vibe was chill and I had a nice experience overall I’d definitely come back and try a few of the other options else on the menu

Meatloaf was basically just meat with nothing added to it; Mashed potatoes tasted like intake box potatoes; the Mac and cheese is just that... noodles and cheese!...and the cabbage was lacking flavor just like everything else I ordered. I was very disappointed, with what I thought, was going to be really good soul food. 😔
