Being caucasian and walking into a soul food restaurant can be somewhat intimidating but the staff made that all go away as soon as you walked in the door. So warm and welcoming.

To make a long story short, I’ve tried Sweet Mama’s twice the first meal was Smothered Turkey Wings (just the wing tip and flat) which is not a full wing, Mac and cheese and collards. Second time around I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, green beans, and collard greens. I found the taste of the turkey flat and meatloaf to be lacking in any type of distinctive flavor that would make me want either one of them again....
